Absolute winner.

I love this place for its exciting and varied menu - gluten free, vegan, spice avoiders, health or meat freaks - we all have plenty of choice and the food is wonderful every time!

Coffee is great (200°) and their homemade cakes look amazing (sadly not tried, reluctant gluten dodger). Great for lunchtime too, there plenty of lighter options from their starters menu - they are substantially sized and good for sharing mezze-style.

The staff are friendly and cheerful, the atmosphere is unpretentious and the wooden walled decor is inviting and pretty.

They are unlicensed, and bring your own booze is welcomed with no corkage fee. Food is very reasonably priced too.

Kitchen closes 5-6pm and 9pm.

There is nothing not to love about Sarangbang, it's currently my stone cold favourite place to...

Ordered a chicken bulgogi and beef bulgogi and chicken kimbap. All delicious.

We didn't need to wait for a table at 8pm on a Saturday evening. They warned us that they needed to clean the table first which was polite.

A very varied menu. Reasonably priced.

It took approx 20-30mins to serve the bulgogi dishes. The waitress came out a few times to apologise for keeping us waiting but when the food arrived it was worth the wait.

There was only one unisex toilet. BYOB which I didn't know but noted for the next visit. Card payment only. The seating in the back was quirky with lots of eclectic books selections on display on the shelves.

I would...

Easily one of my favourite restaurants in Nottingham! It's been a shining star dining location between me and my friends. We're not able to speak about Sarangbang without turning up within a week.

I am super fussy about eating onions and they always cater towards me with a smile. I feel like it's become a bit of a joke that I say no onions to everything.

Kimchi fried rice is to die for. The budae jigae is so hearty and warming. The Naengmyeon is so nice during summer. Crispy nut chicken never fails.

I absolutely love...

Sarangbang sounds like the famous Sarangchae, Korean restaurant in Nottingham? If you're thinking, are they related? The answer is yes! They are both owned by the same owner and have the same chef. Due to coronavirus impact, they lay offs some of their staffs and end up with small team. Sarangchae is open for lunch whilst Sarangbang is open for dinner. The portion is BIG, they taste amazing, friendly staffs and owner! I use to go to Sarangchae as a student three years ago, it feels to good to be back here again, eating my comfort food.

Had the most wonderful experience at Sarangbang! The food was delicious and the service was execellent! The cafe had a very cozy and lovely vibe. The owner was really sincere and kind. I left my laptop bag at the restaurant and we were the last customer on a Saturday night (the restaurant closes on Sundays and Mondays), and the owner kept my bag safe for me and made a trip the next day eventhough it was an off-day, just to return my bag to me. Thank you so much, would highly recommend this place!!❤️☺️
