A place of character, loud rock music and the must stop by before rock city which is located around the block. While I was there, it was full busy. A close family member told me he been going to the tap since 90's. He told me how much and how little things have changed about this place. He turly enjoyed our visit here.
The choose of ale, ciders and beer on tap. A few bottled and can craft favorites. The pub has its own merch which is amazing. Although not for sale, I love the decorative adds hidden around the bar.
I didn't get to see much, as that's my own fault. But what I do know is there was a pool table in the back, photo selfie booth at the far front and I am guessing toilets behind and down a corridor near song selection jukebox.
Overall feel of helping continue my amazing evening, the staff are nice folks and the ciders I had was splendid. Come again...
Read moreI've been coming here for 20 years. It's changed hands over time, and for a while I thought we'd lose it when it briefly wasn't a rock bar any more.
But now Al is in charge, and he has ensured The Tap kept its essence, the place to be before and after any gigs at Rock City, for a quiet drink during the day and ALWAYS where i meet my friends at the weekend, the friendliest rock bar in town, the best staff, and guaranteed a good night.
A great selection of gin, whiskey and rum, a photo Booth for memories, a fantastic jukebox, and service with a smile. I can walk in and the staff know my drink without me even saying anything.

Beer was ok... nice to see the barrels are still there to sit on when youre having your second ciggy to try and avoid as much conversation as possible. Nothing much has changed but theres more graffitti in the ladies now... which served as reading material while i was pretending to take ten minutes peeing. Stella when served a nice stella glass is real easy to down when you wanna make a swift exit. Nice to see some places don't change much and still remain a lovely place to meet and chat and drink.
