I had booked a meal for my wife's birthday via the online booking. This was confirmed with a polite phone call the day before, at which point I was asked if this was for a special occasion. I mentioned my Wife's birthday and they noted this as part of the booking.

When we arrived, the greeting staff were very polite and offered to take our coats, after which they kindly directed us to our table. The table had been decorated with Birthday confetti and a happy birthday balloon, which was a nice little touch.

The waiting staff were very polite, however the service was much slower than we would have expected given the restaurant was not busy at this point. This resulted in us waiting 20mins to be asked what we would like to drink. We noted our server seemingly more interested in talking to other members of staff than seeing to our, and other, tables.

The food more than made up for the slow service and was well worth the wait. The staff were also happy to make alterations from the menu, making the experience that much better.

A special Birthday desert which had a hand written 'Happy Birthday' message on it was brought out at the end. My wife was very delighted with this gesture, although it was difficult to fully appreciate it after all the food we had eaten!

Once done with the meal you will have the choice of a very short walk to the Alea casino or a slightly further walk into Nottingham town centre. Making the restaurant perfectly positioned to continue your night however you see fit. Hopefully luck is on your side if you venture into the Casino!

I recently held my engagement party at this wonderful restaurant, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first day I walked in to inquire about hosting the event, Magdalena was nothing short of outstanding. Her professionalism and attention to detail were apparent immediately, and she worked with us every step of the way to ensure our celebration would be seamless and special.

What truly impressed me was Magdalena’s commitment to meeting our exact needs and requests. We had specific ideas for the food and atmosphere, and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as we envisioned. The food was prepared precisely according to our order, right down to the smallest details, and it was absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find a place where the staff listens so attentively and then delivers flawlessly, but they did it all with such warmth and grace.

Magdalena and the entire team worked tirelessly to make our day unforgettable. They handled everything smoothly, with patience and professionalism, allowing us to relax and enjoy the celebration without a single worry. I cannot thank Magdalena enough for her incredible dedication. It is truly remarkable to see someone care so deeply about their clients’ experiences.

From the moment we stepped in for our anniversary dinner, I knew it was going to be a dining experience. From the front staff greeting and hanging the coats with a ticket. Guiding to your table with ease and although it was a weekend, the noise from other patrons was a dull chatter as I think everyone had respect which I loved. Subtle jazz tunes played while you dined and the table decor was stunning for our celebration and I was thankful.

Our server Will deserves praise from management as his attentiveness and polite manner throughout our dinner was second to none, what an absolute credit to the MPW team! The prosecco was top class bubbles, delightful with a raspberry in every glass. The sea bass was cooked to perfection with the minted potatoes that beautifully melted in your mouth and the garlic/chilli spinach taste was subtle but was a perfect match with my fish.
