Every restaurant ought to be memorable for something, and Armadillo Lounge does way better. It has the most amazing ambience with open aspects all round at the waterfront, it offers a limited sure fire menu that it knows it can deliver at unbeatable quality, wrapped in a service that leaves you with a big grin on your face. And it does all of this at a price point that leaves the best after taste in your mouth. We had nasi goreng, lounge eggs and a shared chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Each of these dishes were Michelin level upwards! As Asians, we we were really impressed with the Nasi Goreng. The lounge eggs with smoked salmon was next level. The chocolate brownie consistency was perfectly soft-chewy with a tastefully pitched chocolate sauce and ice-cream. The drinks were delightful for their taste and their prices. The toilets were delightfully clean. Best of all, we were sat quickly at 12.30 on a Saturday, and in a way we are shooting ourselves in the foot promoting more foot fall for this delightful place! We would rather that this place was a delightful secret only we knew! If there is one pointer for improvement, I would simply say the floor was sticky in a place or two, but in a public space where spills are inevitable, it might simply have been a bad day for floor keeping. Looking forward to our next visit in due course.

It's my eldest grandsons 18th birthday!! All 6 of my grandchildren are gathered together to celebrate. Although we are all Seco Lounge regulars, we haven't experienced a meal here in this relatively new restaurant/cafe bar. As it was 8 people, they allowed the option of reserving a table, and with a £30 up front payment, this was secured. I am not a fan of having to order at the bar or using the app when there are 8 people to order for. In the end, we wrote everyone's order on a piece of paper and gave it to the bar staff. It's not an ideal scenario. The service ordering drinks was good, but it actually took a long while between our garlic flatbread "starters" and the main courses arriving (close to 25 mins ). All the food was excellent, including lovely desserts, but the flatbreads were very dull, not hot, and not crispy enough. Removal of the dishes was slow and the staff had to be reminded twice to do so. All in all it was a lovely evening. It's certainly not cheap eating out here and the lack of staff is evident throughout with the lack of any "personal touch" from someone ordering at the table does make it impersonal and not particularly a "special" occasion....

Came here twice in 2 days when visiting Plymouth recently. Really impressed with the huge gluten free menu which staff pointed out to us immediately on arrival - a really nice touch for them to offer this as standard. First night we came for food and had a lovely meal with my wife but unfortunately I was driving so couldn’t try the cocktails which was why we came back (via taxi) the next evening. Easy ordering via the app, and the staff were really friendly each time. An extensive menu and a great selection of quality drinks which were delivered quickly. It’s a lovely location too overlooking the water. Would definitely come back here again when in Plymouth - also want to say thank you to the waiter (bald chap with a goatee) who remembered we’d been in the day before, and also kindly took a picture of me and my wife - he was really friendly and little touches like being remembered really make you feel welcome to go back! Thank you.

Such a shame, we have always had a great time at the Seco Lounge, so we thought we would try the new location. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! We had a warm welcome and the restaurant looks inviting, we ordered food and waited about 30minutes for the food to turn up .When the order did turn up it was incorrect with no sausages and hashbrowns on our breakfast muffins which we had paid extra for. So the server said she didn't have enough hands but clearly lied as the hashbrowns and 1 yes 1 sausage took another 5 minutes to turn up. She blamed the kitchen saying everyone came in at once, there were 9 tables occupied that was all. One of my party then lifted the bacon on her muffin and the cheese had been burnt into the muffin and looked disgusting, we asked for assistance again to which the server asked her to put the burnt part of the muffin on a plate and take it away! Not the whole breakfast!!! Then again another 5 minute wait for an untoasted Half YES Half soggy muffin with melted cheese was delivered to our table. The server said we could have a drink on her and she wasn't happy with things, we declined as the FRESHLY SQUEEZED orange juice we purchased was out of a carton. On completion of the meal we were refunded the price of one breakfast muffin to which we were thankful, but this really has tainted our experiences with the...
