The Navy Inn, a historic pub nestled in Plymouth's Barbican, offers more than just great drinks and atmosphere - it's also home to an exciting fitness community. Every Monday at 18:00 (6:00 PM), the pub hosts the Rum Runners, a vibrant running club that combines physical activity with social interaction. Rum Runners is open to everyone, including serving military personnel, veterans, civilians, and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. The group meets at the Navy Inn before setting off for their weekly run through the picturesque streets of Plymouth. This community-driven fitness initiative not only promotes physical health and mental well-being but also creates a supportive network for participants. What makes Rum Runners truly special is the post-run gathering back at the Navy Inn. After working up a sweat, runners return to the pub to enjoy a well-deserved drink and socialize. The Navy Inn's friendly atmosphere, coupled with its selection of regular and guest ales like Sharp's Atlantic and Sea Fury, provides the perfect backdrop for runners to unwind and build lasting friendships. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, the Rum Runners at the Navy Inn offers a unique blend of exercise, camaraderie, and local charm that's hard to beat.

The famous 29 Commando bar. Whenever I am in Plymouth I always garb a pint in here. They have decent beer on tap and selection of hard liquors. There is a pool table, slot machine and they always have the sport playing. Can get extremely busy at popular times. There are loads of military photos dotted around the bar and pictures of those who have fallen. I haven't tried the food yet.

I went to the navy today for a roast beef and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection, the beef melted in my mouth and the potatoes were gorgeous. Definitely one of the best roasts I've had. 100% worth trying you won't be disappointed. Lots of drinks available huge variety of soft and alcoholic. Staff are exceptional.

Huge thanks to Jeanette, India & their lovely team of staff for the professional & caring way our family were treated during our Dad's wake. Jeanette, your efforts in ensuring all guests were greeted with a "toast" to dear Dad, along with an excellent buffet, beautifully presented in the lovely 1st floor function room, was appreciated. Equally important, was the attentive service from the ground floor staff, who had to accommodate us in addition to their usual customers. Toilets represented the finer attention to detail where soap, paper & cleanliness is high in your priority. Having visited here for the first time (seen on many occasions from outside but never been inside), the Navy Inn has pleasant decor, with a 1st floor function room & large beer garden. Highly recommend & will be returning next time I take Dad's Bobber out for a ride with his dear...

Great location and a nice relaxed atmosphere but... I got served a flat pint after having a few really good ones. It was clear to me that the gas had went off and needed changing but the staff were having none of it. They did change my pint, but for another flat one. I suggested again that the gas had ran out and needed changed. The bar tender who was clearly in charge at the time was having none of it and poured my already flat pint into another glass. I'd had a really nice afternoon but this put a dampener on it. I know my beer. I know how taps, lines and barrels work. I know what was going on. Bar staff should know how it all...
