Sadly a miss for me. Almost 20 quid for a burger meal and some chicken wings. Disappointing service and just ok food.
It was a wet and windy Plymouth day and as I walked in, it seems pretty dead inside and the staff seemed a bit lifeless too unfortunately.
I ordered the superstar gourmet burger and asked for the meal but was told I couldn't get the milkshake with a meal. Ok, I ordered it all separate and some wings as well to try stuff out as I'd not been here before.
Firstly I had to queue despite only one person in front of me and one person on the till. There was another till free and two people behind the counter but no one seemed worried about serving.
Id been sat opposite the only loo in the place, as this was the only table left at the time, as although it seemed quiet, this must have been due to social distancing. This didn't worry me too much untill it took a while for my food to come and it was apparent it was a single door directly in to the toilet and a few people had gone in and out. Not that I experienced anything unpleasant, I just didn't fancy the thought of being seated with my food directly opposite a toilet. Once the couple on the table next to me moved , I shuffled along.
When my food arrived it was tasty but nothing I'd not had before. The milkshake was probably the nicest bit. I had vanilla and it was lovely. The burger was good but I'd say on level with a five guys maybe. So nice but not worth the extra money over a decent Maccas burger. The fries were basic as you like and the wings were no different to KFC hot wings.
So for the money, I would have happily spent half that money and got a bunch of McDonald's and enjoyed it...
Read moreVery poor performance, this was my first time and this fast food joint and my last, when we first walked in the place it looked new and funky, but on second looks, all tables bar one or two were covered in rubbish, where the tables hadn't been cleared up or cleaned, may be this was a warning to leave but as the kids were hungry so we pressed on, my kids wanted classics chicken strips, chips and a milkshake, nice and easy so I thought, there was no chicken strips left, so I asked the lady behind the counter what was the difference between the classic chicken strips and the shredded chicken, she could not explain the difference, she then said I think to shredded chicken is wings? Clearly not, so we played it safe and went popcorn chicken, I went for the "Fully loaded nachos" there was nothing fully loaded with it , a half filled small box of nachos, a light squeeze of cheese sauce and 4 slices of jalapenos, rubbish. For £41 we were very disappointed and still hungry afterwards and still after 25 minutes no table was cleared or cleaned. The one Star was for the milkshake which still came 5 minutes after our food. Guys please review you prices and sizes, and please train your staff, this is 2022...
Read moreWas really looking forward to my meal here last night. Unfortunately was extremely disappointed. Service was very slow. The guy in till said he doesn't normally work on the till he works in the kitchen so had no idea what he was doing. Ordered our food. Didnt get it for 35 minutes even though we were told 15 minutes(made us late for the cinema) When it came to bringing us our food they brought out my partners burger..and then said mine would be a few minutes... Restaurant 101. DO NOT bring out meals separately. It took about 10 minutes before they came over and told me they messed up the order so it'll be out shortly. By this time my partners food was cold as he didn't want to eat without me. When my food came out it looked nothing like the menu pictures. It looked like a squished macdonalds 99p cheese burger. Not worth £20 for the 2 meals. They did give us a free desert. But as stated originally when I ordered my food. There is some stuff I cant eat. And the desert they brought out I couldn't eat. So it was no use to me.
Definitely a 1/10. VERY...
