The service given by summer was exceptional. We have visited TBs many times in several of the cities it has a restaurant in and so far from Sheffield , Plymouth cardiff and exmouth we have never known service to be as good as the service we received today. Summer is an asset to the TB team and whilst makes an explceptional waitress I think she should be training other staff to give service wth both a smile, friendly manner and a helpfulness that is second to none. We ordered a katsu to start off with and mentioned we didn’t want too spicy and she quickly told us how it is perhaps the hottest or one of the hottest Currys on the menu! She saved Us being disappointed with our meals as we knew we would be unable to eat them enjoyably. What we chose was spicy but just right for us with the fried chicken thighs - tender and tasty and satisfyingly filling . We enjoyed a two for one cocktail and was helped with the birthday voucher we had to use and the app issues we were facing were also solved by summer on our visit. I can’t recommend the restaurants service that day highly enough and we were so impressed and asked if she would get to keep any tip given - as a table of two the waitress could get to keep her own tips ! This pleased us to know and we rightly so have a tip to the girl with the smile and wonderful welcoming manner. It did seem excellent all round from staff to food to price and affordability options and the 10 pound voucher was a pleasant bonus as you get a fair time to use it by. TB remains a favourite for us. I do hope others have a similar experience to the one we had yesterday .

Overall good experience. Not too long of a wait (had a reservation). I like the vibe inside. The raspberry raggae cocktails were nice, though I couldn’t taste alcohol at all (a common issue in British restaurants i suppose). I’d only recommend getting the cocktails when they have the 2for1, otherwise the price isn’t worth it. The trini doubles were deliciousssss. The jerk chicken was okay. The portion was massive lol. I wish they’d left it on the grill a bit longer - i like my grilled chicken on the charred side. The fries were delicious. The gravy... err I’m not a fan of gravy in general but I liked that this one had a spice kick to it. Watermelon was a nice touch.

Restaurant - Very quiet, not many people at our time at 8.30 Food - 3 items we tried to order were out of stock - we were recommended different dishes and they were not very nice. The food I did order was rather dry and very little of it, rice was hardened and sauce was bland. Dining partner was recommended the goat and he disliked it so this rather ruined the meal in general Overall the experience was very bland, no atmosphere, staff were nice enough. I also had a pair of rather nice trousers ruined for the evening as we were given napkins that were fluffy - this isnt good when you're wearing dark coloured clothing and get bits of 'lint' everywhere

Very, very loud almost to the point of sensory overload. Very difficult to hear the waiting staff when they take your orders. Cocktails were OK, but not better than the 2-4-1 offer. Would not have paid full price for two as it was mostly ice in a small glass Food was good with some good vegan options. The curry spices were good and had a depth of flavour Brunch was being served all which opened up some cheaper vegan options. To be honest a starter and a brunch item was more than enough food wise Think next time would consider going at a quieter time but tgey would also need to change the vegan options before that

1st visit to Turtle Bay - lovely helpful staff, could not fault the service or the atmosphere. The food was “nice” but as with many food chain outlets it did not look anything like the pictures used to advertise! As you can see from the pics below one being promotional, the food we actually got, shown in the other picture, looked very poor in both quality & amount. We asked for the gravy & BBQ sauce separate and were given what amounted to 1 tbsp of each. Sausages were anemic looking. Cocktails were nice & refreshing. Not sure we will be rushing back for a 2nd visit!

From the time we walked into the restaurant and were warmly greeted by Fillipo we knew we were going to have a great experience and be well looked after. He was very informative and attentive - great service thank you Fillipo! It was our first time visiting Turtle Bay in Plymouth and were looking forward to trying their Vegetarian/Vegan brunch options which were a pleasant change from the usual British breakfast offerings. We picked and shared two different brunch items which were really good. Absolutely will be back to work our way through the menu..
