I recently had the pleasure of dining at Turtle Bay for their renowned bottomless brunch, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the mouthwatering food to the delightful drinks and, most importantly, the exceptional service provided by our server, Summer, this visit exceeded all expectations.
First and foremost, the ambiance at Turtle Bay is perfectly suited for a leisurely brunch. The décor is a charming blend of rustic and modern, creating a cozy yet trendy atmosphere that sets the mood for a relaxing meal. As we settled into our seats, the anticipation for what was to come grew, and we couldn't have been more excited.
Now, let's talk about the food. Turtle Bay's brunch menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of dishes that cater to all tastes. From classic eggs Benedict to more adventurous options like avocado toast with a twist, there's something for everyone. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy, to say the least.
What truly made our brunch experience exceptional was the impeccable service provided by Summer, our server for the day. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile that instantly put us at ease. Summer's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she patiently answered all our questions, providing insightful recommendations based on our preferences.
Summer's attention to detail was remarkable. She made sure our drinks were constantly refilled, ensuring that our bottomless mimosas never ran dry. Her timing was impeccable; she never rushed us, allowing us to savor each course at our own pace. It's clear that Summer takes pride in her work, and her dedication to providing a top-notch dining experience was evident throughout our visit.
One thing that stood out was Summer's ability to make personalized recommendations. When I mentioned my love for spicy flavors, she suggested the spicy Bloody Mary, which turned out to be the perfect kickstart to our meal. It's these little touches that elevate the dining experience and make customers feel truly valued.
As for the bottomless drinks, Turtle Bay offers a fantastic selection of brunch cocktails, including mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Bellinis. Summer ensured that our glasses were always full, and she even surprised us with a few off-menu creations that showcased the bartender's creativity and skill.
In addition to the delectable food and delightful drinks, the overall atmosphere at Turtle Bay during brunch was lively and convivial. It's evident that this place is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, making for a vibrant dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Turtle Bay for their bottomless brunch was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of delicious food, inventive drinks, and, above all, the exceptional service provided by Summer made it a truly memorable experience. If you're looking for a brunch spot that goes above and beyond, I wholeheartedly recommend Turtle Bay, and I hope you have the privilege of being served by the outstanding Summer. Read moreThe service given by summer was exceptional. We have visited TBs many times in several of the cities it has a restaurant in and so far from Sheffield , Plymouth cardiff and exmouth we have never known service to be as good as the service we received today. Summer is an asset to the TB team and whilst makes an explceptional waitress I think she should be training other staff to give service wth both a smile, friendly manner and a helpfulness that is second to none. We ordered a katsu to start off with and mentioned we didn’t want too spicy and she quickly told us how it is perhaps the hottest or one of the hottest Currys on the menu! She saved Us being disappointed with our meals as we knew we would be unable to eat them enjoyably. What we chose was spicy but just right for us with the fried chicken thighs - tender and tasty and satisfyingly filling . We enjoyed a two for one cocktail and was helped with the birthday voucher we had to use and the app issues we were facing were also solved by summer on our visit.
I can’t recommend the restaurants service that day highly enough and we were so impressed and asked if she would get to keep any tip given - as a table of two the waitress could get to keep her own tips ! This pleased us to know and we rightly so have a tip to the girl with the smile and wonderful welcoming manner. It did seem excellent all round from staff to food to price and affordability options and the 10 pound voucher was a pleasant bonus as you get a fair time to use it by. TB remains a favourite for us. I do hope others have a similar experience to the one we...
Read moreFood 5/5: Food was really tasty. Can't fault it.
Service 4/5: Our server Natalia was really friendly and helpful (although her colleague at the front door who looked at us and quickly turned away and disappeared from the entrance as we arrived brings the score down to 4/5).
Atmosphere: Sorry but it has to be a 1/5. The loud drum and bass music blaring out from the kitchen was just horrendous. I'm not a fan anyway, but you couldn't hear the restaurant music over it and people were having to talk louder around us to be heard over it. If your kitchen staff want loud drum and bass music while they work they should either wear headphones or not work in a restaurant with an open kitchen. Management needs to get on top of this. Also the toilets were completely closed. Staff did come round and tell people this and direct us to go across the road to use the toilets in Brewdog but that was half an hour after we had already been told by our server that they were closed and was also after I had heard the manager telling staff near our table that "There's s* on the floor in there. Tell every table not to use the toilets." I'm sure the management are aware that if you do not have adequate toilet facilities then the restaurant should close. Even on the busiest day of the week. Yes that's a hit on your profits, but that is the responsible - and the legal - thing to do. Been here 2 hours and...
