CUPP Bubble Tea - Plymouth — Restaurant in Plymouth

The shop is really cute, I love the design they are going for and I really enjoy the more “natural” flavouring of their teas. Most bubble tea shops have fruit flavour things (ie strawberry, tastes like strawberry ice cream) but here it tastes more like an actual fresh strawberry. I do enjoy the overly sweetened tea from other shops sometimes, but overall I like a more toned down flavour. Some reviews were saying how their teas weren’t that flavourful, but I like the subtlety to the syrups used. The coconut milk tea doesn’t taste like coconut but it’s still my favourite as it tastes more floral. I would maybe rebrand this flavour so people aren’t disappointed when they expect a strong coconut flavour like other tea stores. My one downside is the fruit teas are too sweet here, too much syrup is used for my preference which is why I go somewhere else when ordering fruit tea. One star is too generous. This place caught my eye and the sign outside advertised “flat whites” specifically - I had no idea it was more for bubble tea. It looked appealing so my partner and I went in and I ordered TWO flat whites. The girl frowned at me like I’d spoken gibberish so I asked again and she put it into the till. She then charged me for ONE latte but I tapped my card before I noticed. I asked for one sugar. The coffee she gave me was awful and had way too much sugar in it. I wasted £3 on something that was disgusting and I didn’t even order it....

Drink bubble tea so many times from different places, it was terrible and disappointed in Cupp, I bought three drinks tonight and they make all by mistake, Matcha with no syrup in but Brown sugar milk tea with three big pumps brown syrup in regular size, taste like drinking super sweet water, lemon tea with wrong topping, the staff just open the lid paper to pour the old lemon tea back to the new cup without doing me the new one, gosh that was the most terrible experience I ever had . Wasting me £13 for three...
