My recent visit to Bombay brothers was nothing short of a culinary revelation. Nestled in the heart of the Reading, this Indian restaurant offers an authentic and immersive dining experience that captivates both the palate and the soul. From the moment we stepped in, the warm, inviting ambiance set the tone for an exceptional meal. The decor, inspired by famous bombay restaurants paintings where one would have hung out on college days , was perfectly complemented by soothing music in the background. The staff greeted us with genuine hospitality, guiding us through the diverse menu with expert recommendations. The food was the highlight of the evening—each dish was a masterpiece. We started with the Masala Coke which was absolutely nostalgic reminded me of my college days " nimbu soda", succulent chicken tangdi kebab with mint chutney. The butter chicken was a showstopper, with its velvety, spiced tomato gravy that was a perfect match for the soft, buttery naan bread. Being mumbaikar i really miss bombay ka chinese so i ordered chilli chicken, chicken schezwan noodles haven't disappointed me at all lovely flavours felt like im back in streets of mumbai. What truly stood out was the authenticity of the flavors. The spices were bold yet harmonious, transporting us to the vibrant streets and kitchens of India. The portion sizes were generous, and each dish was presented with care and artistry. Overall, Bombay brothers is a gem for anyone seeking an unforgettable Indian dining experience in Reading. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Indo chinese/ indian cuisine or a curious first-timer, this restaurant promises to delight with its exquisite flavors and warm hospitality. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Unforgettable 21st Anniversary Celebration! We recently celebrated our 21st marriage anniversary at this North Indian gem, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly special – warm smiles, thoughtful service, and a genuine effort to make the night memorable. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant. The food? Absolutely divine! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors – from the perfectly spiced curries to the buttery chilli naans and the heavenly desserts that brought a sweet close to our meal. You could taste the love and tradition in every bite. A big thank you to the Bombay Brothers team for the little surprises and for making our anniversary so special. It's rare to find a place that gets both the food and the experience just right, but this restaurant truly did. Highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion with soul-satisfying North Indian cuisine. We’ll definitely be back – and bringing friends next time!

We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Our waiter, Mandip, went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and recommended dishes that turned out to be absolutely delicious — no regrets at all! The chef, who also happens to be the owner, took the time to personally ensure our meal was customized to our liking. We wanted something spicy, and he delivered! You can tell the food is freshly made by the taste, and both the quantity and quality were top-notch. Honestly, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Reading and feels quite underrated. More people need to discover this place, as it's one of the best Indian restaurants around. We were extremely satisfied with our experience and will definitely be returning to try more dishes from the menu. We dine -in on my birthday and they made my birthday so special with their delicious dish and great hospitality.Highly recommend!

We had an extremely disappointing experience at the restaurant. The ambience was lacking, and the seating arrangement was uncomfortably close together. Despite our party of three families arriving promptly for a Valentine's Day celebration, the service was abysmal.

We (3 Family) went yesterday on 14th Feb for Valentine celebration. We entered in the restaurant at 19:10 Pm an. We 2 family confirmed our choices from Set menu for couple within 10 minutes at 19:20 Pm with additional Kids menu and third family confirmed few ala carte dishes. After waiting for 30 min, we decided to check what is going on as no water, drink, Juice was served. We were told that they are running busy and will get drinks first in the next 5 min. To our first surprise, we received main course directly without starter being served. After enquiry, we were told that they will get starter shortly. We asked to bring food plates and after waiting for 5 min, they took food back stating it was the order for the next table. After waiting for another next 25 min and multiple follow up, we decided to check and got second surprise that they did not have a record of Kids menu in the system. We Confirmed our order once again and get our drinks followed by Kids menu at 20:30 Pm. After 15 min at 20:45 Pm, our third family get their ala carte dishes served and we were still waiting for starters from set Menu. After another follow up at 21:00 PM, it was third surprise that they do not see our choices from Set Menu in the system. We repeated our order again and was told that your food is getting prepared and on the way in 5 min. We wait for the next 15 min and finally decided to leave the place at 21:15 Pm. Final fourth surprise was that a chef rather than owner came out of the restaurant and asked ~what order they can prioritize?

Overall, the restaurant's lack of basic courtesy and disorganization severely impacted our dining experience. Their failure to address our concerns and rectify their mistakes only compounded our frustration. We would not recommend dining here to anyone seeking a pleasant and...

Had a good time at Bombay Brothers. Food was great, with authentic Indian taste!! I have tried my level best to write up this detailed review. We had ordered these dishes.

BB special Platter : Had lamb chops, Mutton kebabs, hyderabadi bhetki, chicken tikka, masala lollypop. Everything tasted amazingly well, perfect blend of spices, very well cooked. Quantity : Enough of 2-3 adults. Rating : 9/10

Butter Naan : Soft inside, crispy outside. Quantity : 1-2 enough for 1 adult Rating : 7.5/10

Peshwari Naan : Stuffed with crushed coconut. Good in taste Quantity : 1 enough for 1 adult Rating : 8/10

Rara Gosht : Amazing taste, soft lamb pieces very nicely blended with the gravy. Finely sliced gingers as a topping added to the taste. Quantity : Enough for 2-3 adults as side dish. Rating : 9/10

Mutton Biryani : Authentic taste, perfect spice level. The meat was slightly dry, could have been a little more jucier. freshly mixed crispy fried onion gave it a tice chew texture. Bonus, very simple yet amazingly tasting raitha. Quantity : Enough for 2 adults Rating : 8.5/10

Ambience : Overall ambience is fine. Walls are well decorated with many scenes representing Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) Rating : 7.5/10

Pros - Very courteous service. Servers are very interactive and seek feedback and are very prompt to requests. Food quality and quantity is amazing. Moderate wait time. Provide high-chair for kids.

Cons - Space is limited and a bit overstuffed with tables, chairs. A bit difficult to walk around if tables are already occupied. The comfort of seating is average. Chairs / tables are of average quality, could be upgraded to better ones :-) As part of crowd management, would be good to have a small wait area outside with some seatings.

Overall verdict - Must visit for all India...

Please read the review in full. We enjoyed our experince until some unruly guests came in. A gentleman here has left a negative review of this restaurant about his experience on valentine's day ; he has put the same review on tripadvsor aswell. Basically it is a copy-paste from the tripadvisor review. I am sorry to say this but we are a family who were dining at the restaurant at the same time as these 3 families and these 3 families spoiled the dining experience of other customers including ours. The three families came with their unruly kids who were screaming their lungs out all the time. The kids were very badly behaved, having a gala time breaking glasses, tearing the menu, throwing food on the floor, with parents watching without stopping them. The parents added to the unruly behaviour by shouting and screaming at the waitresses and the owner lady and talking to each other in a loud voice throughout their time there. The restaurant was calm and peaceful after they left and all the other guests clapped in rejoice. We could all see the mess they left behind on the table and on the floor. Such families bring shame to the Indian community by not teaching their kids how to behave in public. They were themselves setting bad examples with their own rude behaviour. Whatever your experience, that was definitely not the way to treat the staff and owners and spoil the experience for other diners. You obviously took great pride in walking away without paying too as we all heard you screaming about it with great joy. Shame on you all. I have taken a picture of them but will not publish them here as this would violate privacy policy

Other than the above experience, we enjoyed our food and their service. Exceptional taste and great service:). Will be...
