Paesinos ( pizzeria ) — Restaurant in Reading

Found this little place right next to a Nepalese Momo shop on a busy street. It’s taken me some time to write this review until I had tried others to compare and ensure I wasn’t being too harsh. Really nice people but only three very small tables. I sat at one with a coke and my spicy veggie pizza came out very quickly. I chose that because this was a Halal joint so pork products are non grata. The crust was scorched as well as the undercarriage but overall I found it wet in the middle (yes, I know what Neapolitan style is) and the veggies not cooked. Cheese was stringy enough with good flavour but could not say the same for the crust, kinda bland. Good tomato sauce & cheese. No proper knife and fork so although I like messy food, this time I was unenthusiastically/unsuccessfully trying to roll wet dough and ingredients to get them in my cakehole. The tiny customer area was fine until the delivery drivers started showing up and standing over me. I get that food biz needs delivery but I find this an awful intrusion when so close. Maybe they should be delivery and takeaway only or at least ask the drivers to wait outside? So this time my experience didn’t hit right and I suspect things are improved when the food hits your coffee table in a box. Shame because the staff...

Paesano truly lives up to the hype. The pizza was absolutely incredible, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly blistered crust, quality ingredients, and a menu that shows real thought and passion behind it.

From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcome. There’s a warmth to the service that really sets the tone, relaxed but professional, like you’re being looked after by people who genuinely love what they do.

The space itself is buzzing with energy, with that perfect mix of casual and cool. You can tell a lot of love has gone into creating the vibe here and it pays off. Whether you’re a pizza purist or just someone looking for a great place to eat, Paesano is a must-visit.

It was my first time visiting this place, and I was truly impressed! The vegetarian pizza was absolutely delicious—freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavour.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. What made it truly special was the surprise I received: as a birthday gift from all the staff members, they prepared a special sweet dish just for me and my friend. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture that meant a lot to me.

If you visit, I highly recommend trying their Tiramisu—it’s light, creamy, and perfectly balanced in flavour.
