Underwhelming. Presented really well which is nice, but the product is kind of mediocre, and the service is questionable. The bagels are gross as theyre premade and tossed into an oven which leads to a soggy chewy mess. The bagels would be infinitely better if they werent lazily made. Toast the bagel, and then put the ingredients on! We had the rocket and smoked salmon bagel, but since its in the oven, the smoked salmon is warm and gives off a rank smell, and the rocket becomes wilted. Its gross. The new yorker bagel has an unappetizing kraft-single type of cheese on it, and the tomato is a strange luke-warm temp and waters down the cream cheese, and the warm pastrami is too dry since it was heated up straight from the fridge. At least the coffee and pastries are okay, but were they good just because our food was average at best??

Also, both times ive felt very unwelcomed by some of the staff. Last time i went i felt rushed, despite the employee not even saying anything; just a long gaze in the distance maybe wishing they can clock out. Today, i actually had a visible eye roll when i couldnt decide on what pastry to have! Maybe tell staff its easy to see emotions through eyes especially with a facemask. I'd understand if the place was busy, but we were the only ones in line and no one was sitting in yet. The window seating is nice, but since theres coffee bags lined across it, there isnt much room to place plates and drinks which leads to some awkwardness when being served.

Edit: its an oven not a panini press. Sorry pal. Doesnt make a difference though, still was gross having wilted rocket, warm salmon, and watery creamcheese, etc. Cant wait for a bross bagel to open in dundee. Disregard the statement about...

EDIT: Since this restaurant has decided to give an idiotic response to criticism, I will say that deliveroo was my first point of contact and my refund has been processed, contrary to their ignorant reply. There was also no clarification as to why the two sandwiches were delivered in a past order with no note and soup saying otherwise and suddenly the policy is different this time around. Lastly, as someone who is in the food service industry, it’s common sense to communicate to a customer in any event to avoid confusion, especially when using third party delivery companies but it seems maybe common sense isn’t so common after all. The response is even more disgraceful than the original issue and I will never recommend this place to anyone coming to Dundee because there’s so many other lovely cafes to patronise than this bs.

REVIEW: Ordered through deliveroo and received a soup I did not ask for with one of my items missing. Not only that but I received a flimsy note on my receipt saying that two sandwiches cannot be ordered, when I have ordered two sandwiches in the past in the same lunch deal without issue. Honestly would have had no qualms about receiving soup if their policy has changed since the last time I ordered, but the fact that they couldn’t even be bothered to call and let the customer know that they would have to substitute a product which was already paid for is very telling of the kind of people who run...
