Have been a few times before and it's hands down one of my all-time favourite spots in Glasgow. The atmosphere is immaculate and feels so different than most places around town. Went in the other day with my friend excited to try the new menu, only to find out they only serve brunch until 4pm and "evening menu" after. As we had booked for the early afternoon, unfortunately we couldn't try their summer dishes. Although we didn't necessarily enjoy the macaroni cheese, the brunch/lunch menu was great nonetheless (as was the mocktail selection), but just felt a little weird to still offer just eggs and sandwiches at this time of day. With that said, service from Bronwyn was amazing — she was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with the most positive attitude!

Had an exceptional meal here this evening after work. Table service by Scott was professional and friendly, attentive and informative. Food was beautifully presented, excellent quality ingredients, and most importantly, delicious! The charred artisan bread and sticky toffee pudding are highly recommended in particular! The modern and simplistic setting is serene and calm and gives a high class dining feel while the menu is very reasonably priced for the city centre. We will be back very soon I’m sure. (I should mention that the experience was also heightened by very polite reception lady who escorted us to the restaurant and complimented my lovely wife’s “mermaid hair” - it certainly started the meal off with a nice mood!)

Really lovely food in a really lovely setting. The nice quiet and beautiful atmosphere really added to the experience. We enjoyed all the food and felt full at the end of our 3 course early bird menu. One of the nicest restaurant experiences in Glasgow. It was cool to be able to order at the time of booking online. I had high hopes that it would make the whole experience really smooth, but it was a bit disappointing with having to remind the waiter that I thought we had ordered online. Then at the end, the bill we were given didn’t reflect the price when I booked. Firstly there was an error in the drinks price which was rectified, secondly was a mandatory service charge that wasn’t made clear at booking.

From the moment we stepped into hazel the service was impeccable. The staff greeted us warmly and promptly seated us at a beautifully set table. Our server Bronwyn was attentive and knowledgeable, enthusiastically recommending dishes based on our preferences and dietary restrictions.

The menu was diverse, offering a variety of options that catered to all tastes. Each dish we ordered was presented beautifully and tasted absolutely divine, showing off the chef’s attention to quality and detail.

What truly set this restaurant apart was the attentiveness of the staff. They checked in on us regularly, refilled our glasses before they were empty, and ensured that our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. The manager even made rounds, asking for feedback and sharing interesting details about the restaurant’s sourcing and preparation methods.

We also appreciated the ambiance of the restaurant – it was inviting and well-maintained, with a lovely decor that complemented the overall dining experience. It was clear that every aspect of the restaurant's operation is executed at a high standard.

In conclusion, hazel provided a flawless dining experience that exceeded our expectations. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and valued as customers. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for top-notch service and a memorable meal. We can’t...

I’m never a fan of writing bad reviews, but this almost ruined an expensive night for us. Staying at the hotel for a concert, we popped in for a bite to eat before heading out. My husband explained I was vegan, asked what vegan options there were and even cracked a joke about my being vegan. They then gave me bread with cheese baked in the middle (the vegan option on the menu). To make matters worse, we had even called back to ask if the butter was vegan - it wasn’t. I was immediately sick and could no face eating anything else, which was lucky because the main dish, a salad I had ordered, was the most unappetising and uninspiring thing I’ve had out in front of me. The food, without the complete ignoring of dietary requirements and requests, was completely unappetising. The waitress then proceeded to leave my main on the bill - id eaten two grapes - and although she was apologetic, we still had a £60 bill and I felt ill all night! Absolutely terrible standards for a hotel.

Funnily enough, later that night we were invited into the Moxy hotel and I was chatting with the staff there- saying how hungry i was because of the incident earlier, and he made me a vegan pizza!! Which was amazing and so...

I really wanted to love it, it's my namesake after all! But it's really overpriced and just not up to the standard that it should be for those prices. The butter with the bread was completely solid and unspreadable (seems small but if you're paying over £100 for a meal for two these details matter). The pork belly was quite weird and there was just too much miscellaneous looking meat kind of smushed together, pork belly should be melt in the mouth and delicate! My friend's fish was pretty good and I was jealous. The chips were nice enough but the oil came out with every bite. We didn't order a steak because I couldn't believe you had to pay an extra £3 to have a sauce with a £25+ steak. Drinks were quite nice. Service was nice but I didn't get the impression the staff were well informed of the menu. It was not professional enough to be fine dining, but not friendly enough to be fun. There are so many really decent options in Glasgow. We were at the dapper mongoose last week, similar price point but absolutely no comparison on the quality of food and friendliness and knowledge of staff. Won't be back to Hazel unless I go to nick a napkin with...
