Jessie’s, Pitlochry – 5 stars We stopped into Jessie’s for lunch yesterday after a long walk, and it hit the spot perfectly. The weather was warm and sunny, and the atmosphere here matched it—laid-back, welcoming, and just what we needed. We both had the veggie sandwich: a delicious combination of pesto, avocado, halloumi, sun-dried tomatoes, and rocket on soft focaccia. It was full of flavour and really satisfying. We added sweet potato fries on the side, which were excellent—crispy on the outside and soft inside. To drink, we each had a can of Wasted Degrees Helles lager, which we hadn’t tried before and really enjoyed. It was served with a chilled glass, which was a nice touch on such a warm day. The staff were friendly and provided quick, efficient service—everything arrived promptly and with a smile. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which was a real highlight. The benches are set under a lovely pergola that offers both shade and shelter, and the area is nicely shielded from the wind, making it a really comfortable and relaxing spot to sit. There was a great selection of cakes on display that looked amazing, but we were too full from lunch to try any—next time for sure! Our bill came to £40, which we felt was great value for such a tasty and enjoyable lunch. A brilliant little spot—we’d definitely return..

December 2024: Recently visited Jessie's whilst in the area. We booked a table ahead as expected it to be busy - and it was. Beautiful setting for a cafe with a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Bright and airy feel too. Nice big tables with plenty of space for large groups which is great. Really clean and tidy venue. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was superb - very tasty and well presented. There is a nice selection of food and the portions are a good size. Good selection of drinks too. Staff very friendly, hard-working and attentive. There is a large car park across the street (pay and display). We had such a lovely experience and would recommend a visit here if in the area.

Wow what terrible customer service. We didn’t even stay. Having been offered a table by one member of staff to then be told just as we are sitting down that the table was reserved and made to feel like we shouldn’t be there. She then said we could stay for 30mins but doubt we would get served in that time. When we explained a member of staff had just told us to site there she just shrugged. Clearly we left and found a much better cafe just up the road called Garden Cafe. As we walked past the windows we could see lots of empty tables inside. These were never offered so can only assume they aren’t that bothered about having customers !!! I would highly recommend avoiding this and heading to Garden Cafe where the reception was very welcoming and the food amazing

Well thanks for your answer You have your views for sure which clearly you are welcome to. I would advise however that you have a common approach from all your staff. When told the table is reserved after being told we could sit there not sure what else you expect other than customers to leave !!! Yes you might be busy but no excuse for poor...

Great cafe with good coffee, cake and sandwiches. Had coffee and a tasty mixed berry crumble slice before our walk and a couple of really good sandwiches on bakery bread afterwards. I had a Reuben, which was deep filled (for the UK) with plenty of beef, cheese & sauerkraut. My partner had a really good veggie sandwich with avocado, halloumi & home made pesto. Only downside was they were understandably busy at lunchtime but they were upfront about the wait for food before we ordered, which was appreciated. Sandwich was around £12 but felt good value for the quality and was a reasonable size - big enough on it's own for lunch, at least for me. Can be a touch noisy inside when busy and outside you are right by the main road but still a very pleasant place to be overall. Paid carpark just...
