Molly Malones — Restaurant in Scotland

went to Molly Malones in Feb 2024 for something to eat in the evening, the staff were very friendly and quick and the food was nothing short of excellent, my wife had the burger and said it was the best burger she has ever had ! considering she is closer to 60 than to 50 thats a major statement as she has had a few burgers over the years. I myself had the irish stew and again one of the best stews ive ever had, and i too have had plenty . now it may be out of a massive catering tin for all i know ? if it is then i want the name of the brand so i can stock up :) if its home made then respect to the chef, one last thing......the prices are excellent, will def be...

Was looking forward to food before going to a show. No tables phoned prior and told do not reserve seats. Waited for 1hr 25mins on seats 2 tables had already been given to customers who came in behind us. Then saw a 6 seated table which was reserved 🤔 how this works i dont know. Then eventually got food ordered went to bar for drinks waited in queue only to be ignored by a staff member who served a group of men before me. We cancelled food order There was a young tall guy working there he was so lovely and helpful apologising for everything. The place was busy but no way to treat...

Have been to this pub a couple of times, once very recently. As far as my impressions go, it's a good traditional establishment, suiting a more mature clientele. I only sampled the beer (no food), however in that department, I can say I wasn't disappointed.

All that being said, this pub is perhaps a little too traditional and mellow for my liking. My brother and I dropped in on a Thursday night, and it was almost empty, with only a few +50 year old groups in attendance.
