I'll be honest, I came expecting a fab evening and a few drinks in the nice beer garden outside. Sadly my first drinks order of 2 drinks took 20+mins to arrive after I went to the bar to ask where it was. Fair enough, these things happen. I then ordered a sharing portion of BBQ wedges and another drink, the drinks came this time but the food was lost to the realms of men. When asked about it, it came 5 mins later. Undercooked wedges tasted like cardboard, sad looking hidden bacon and cheese stuck to a piece of paper it was served on. All for a whopping £7!!! I just don't see the value here. I had heard great things about the food inside but this was just not up to scratch. I appreciate that waiters deserve tips as one myself previously, but adding an optional service charge by default when it's predominantly drunk people outside using the app feels a little exploitive. I hope I've just had a poor experience but I can't see me being back at this rate.

Nice restaurant. Service was good. Unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the food. Ordered the BBQ pizza and it came with red onion, which I have an intolerance to, even though it wasn't listed as a topping for that pizza on the menu. Didn't really have time to wait for it to be remade so just had to pick the onions out which wasn't ideal. May have just been a mistake on the side of the kitchen staff as including additional pizza toppings isn't something I've experienced anywhere else before, but it was certainly unwelcome. EDIT 25/7/24 in response to owner comment: Thank you for your response Lauren. I had to double check just in case I was mistaken as I don't want to be leaving inaccurate reviews, but the red onion was definitely not listed as an ingredient. Please see the image I have attached, which I've taken from the menu which is available on your website.

Stumbled across this wonderful cafe serving gf pizza and pasta using the find me gluten free app. It was very busy so we had a wee wait but it was well worth it for the absolutely delicious gluten free and dairy free half pizza I enjoyed with a small bowl of sweet potato, carrot and butternut squash soup. Only £10.75. It's the best gluten free pizza I've had in the ten years I've not been able to eat gluten. Staff are very friendly. Music was very loud and difficult to have a conversation when we first arrived as people were speaking loudly to be heard but by the end of the meal some people had left and the music was quieter so it was a lovely relaxing ambience and able to have a conversation.

We were booked to eat here early on a Saturday evening (6pm table), unfortunately at the same time as a large group of people in for a party. This meant we were forgotten, service was quite slow and the atmosphere was awful because the other group (around 20 people) didn’t seem to be eating, were screaming, jumping around etc. This is not nice to deal with in such a small venue. The food wasn’t great; quite bland, they got our order wrong, didn’t check if things were ok once they had brought the right food over, and we ended up going to the bar to ask for the bill and pay after waiting. They also didn’t amend the bill so we were still overcharged and had to go back up again to correct it.

Maybe we were just unlucky, but we won’t be back and would advise other diners to check if they have a function on as this will mean it feels either like restaurant or a bar/club. They shouldn’t accept bookings if they have a function on if they can’t handle both....

Went for lunch at west house, restaurant vibe was nice and staff was really lovely but was pretty disappointed with the food quality. Ordered Lasagne, hoisin duck ciabatta, olive oil and bread starter plate and dessert pizza. Firstly, the lasagne had little to no meat in it, kinda bland and the garlic bread was just toast with garlic butter... Hoisin duck was good minus they forgot to add the cucumbers. Bread starter was just toast with oil on the side, was expecting some better quality bread. and the dessert pizza, well I'm not sure if this is just me but I was expecting the marshmallows to be at least melted, or mini marshmallows. It was a thin crisp base with nutella and big marshmallows dropped on top with banana slices. Wasn't very satisfying. I was really having high hopes for this place as I blog the food I eat. However, I'd give this place 3 stars for the staff...
