Nando's Dundee - Nethergate — Restaurant in Scotland

Service was pleasant, however....after reading a previous review about dirty cutlery from over a year ago....guess what I got? Once the food arrived, the food was served on cold plates....and the chips and chicken was very cold, not even luke warm....cold! Ive had warmer salads! There is no presentation or garnish to even make the food look appetising. Once the dessert arrived (there was only egg custard tart to choose from) ...once again, no presentation...just a tart on a plate. This evening was a date with my girlfriend after I had bragged about how fantastic Nando's was (I hadn't been in 10 years but I had fond memories). Those memories have now been permanently erased and replaced with last nights shameful excuse for a meal. Jokingly I said we would've been better buying the Nando's meal kit and cooking something ourselves...but actually, it wouldve been better! PS...if you do go (and I highly recommendyou don'), take a warm jacket, as the room temperature in the restaurant is as cold...

As per usual Nandos is a fantastic place to eat. The staff were great and super attentive while still giving you space to enjoy your meal. Special shout out to Kirsty (I think she was the floor manager) for assisting my partner with the Nandos app to get money off our meal by converting out chillies into points plus you get a blue light card discount here which is always a plus however i was asked to show my work ID with an image even though my blue light card shoukd have been more than enough so I'm not happy about that at all, i had both a digital and a physical blue light card and they still asked for a work ID with an image and wouldnt accept my BLC unless i gave my work ID. Couldn't recommend this place more, the food is top tier and well worth the cost, the portion sizes are great as well and if you like diving in to food then Nandos is where...

I'm not a Nando's person. But, the youngsters like it, so here we are.

Overall, it was quite pretty good (on a quietish Saturday afternoon).

Ordering on their app took twice as long as just letting someone know what they want (and we couldn't find mineral water, so we did without). There were lots of staff stood round doing not a lot, so should have just ditched the app.

Food wise, the chicken was pretty good (I was surprised!) and arrived quickly. The chips could have been a bit warmer but the salad and garlic bread were good.

This was my 3rd Nandos experience and absolutely the best so far. I'd grade it as "alright". If I didn't have youngsters to entertain, I wouldn't chose it, but if I did, I would.
