Most authentic Yemeni restaurant with excellent service and amazing environment! We tried the mixed appetiser which had mutabal (its an aubergine dip, I really like this, it goes really well with flatbread they serve at the side), hummus (great hummus too), sambosa and stuffed grape leaves. On a side note, my friend and I really enjoyed the olive oil on the food, don’t know why but it’s really good olive oil. For mains, I had the lamb Mandi, it’s a huge portion with big pieces of lamb. The lamb is super tender literally falls apart, the rice is really nice too has spices flavoured to it. Its really good I kept eating more, I recommend this dish! The saltah with tuna is packed with flavour. It had a mix of spices and vegetables in it. I really recommend this if you like tuna, it goes perfect with flatbread. For dessert, the Kunafa is amazing, it tastes like layers of soft, sweet, and cheesy goodness all wrapped up in a crispy, golden crust. It's like nothing we’ve ever tasted before. The Turkish coffee here is good very strong. I also tried Ayran/ Laban for the first time, it’s has a tangy salty taste like yogurt, it’s so interesting, such a a unique flavour. My favourite has to be the Adani tea with milk, it is so good, sweet with spices, also another flavourful I’ve never tried before, I’d have this everyday, 10/10. We got complimentary soup as well it’s really good, with curry flavour. Also got complimentary tea with mint after we finished our food. The decorations and atmosphere is amazing, with a middle eastern flare to it. They have plenty of seatings and the menu has a great variety. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. Food is served quickly too. We will definitively be back. Amazing service from Esem, he’s super friendly and welcoming, very attentive, he made our experience here outstanding! Highly recommend this place if you want to try authentic Yemeni/ Gulf food 😊

No alcohol, obviously. But I had a drink billed as "lemon and mint" which turned out to be a slush puppy kinda thing. A tad sweet for my taste, but actually went very well with the food. We shared the mixed appetiser plate – lamb samosas, stuffed vine leaves, falafels, hummus and a babaganoushy aubergine thang – with some fatoush and flatbreads. Plus we had the wet beans – oh, these were fabulous. Haricot beans in a tomato sauce spiced with something the waiter could only describe as "Yemeni spice". I think it was some Za'atar kind of thing. Anyway, absolutely fabulous. Mopped it all up with some lovely Syrian-style #flatbread and it was utterly delicious. The service was lovely, and they gave us a complimentary glass of #Arabic #tea (I'm not actually a fan of tea, but I drank most of it to not be discourteous. A judicious dod of sugar helps.) As a local guide, I’m not exaggerating if I rate Palmtree kitchen as one of the best restaurants not only in Glasgow but in Scotland for many reasons. The main thing is the extremely high value for money and the atmosphere staff made. However, I’ll mention why we all liked this restaurant so much: 1- very reasonable prices where it costs around £10 on average for a decent size meal. 2- staff is very friendly, supportive and welcoming, really want to say thank you to Murtada and Jawad. 3- availability of a wide range of dishes, Fahsa, Mandi, Zuribian, Madfon/Henez, and more. 4- tables and furniture are authentic and sufficient spaces to enjoy a nice meal. 5- available parking nearby. 6- availability of toilets. 7- serving tap water. 8- staff are keen to ensure is fine and offer to help if there is any minor issue. 9- traditional music in the background and TV So overall, 10/10 and as a local guide I highly recommend trying the Palmtree if you are in Glasgow or nearby.

As soon as you walk in you are pretty much in the middle east..that's how authentic this place is. Been 3 times now twice for breakfast and once for lunch and all 3 times the food was faultless. The atmosphere when I've been in has been quiet with the music playing which I found myself head bobbing to whilst eating but I imagine in evenings the place livens up.

Service was excellent

Got the lamb liver first time round I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I urge you to try it and judge for yourself was really tasty.

2nd time I got the lamb mandi where the lamb was falling off the bone with zero effort was very tasty once again came with a yogurt sauce and a fresh tomato sort of dip/sauce which was lovely when mixed with the lamb and rice.

3rd time I got the lamb muqalqal (on breakfast menu..basically stir feied lamb) it once again was tasty...not spicy but the subtle aromas which compliment the meat. I had to add extra salt aside from that it was great once again.

Next time I will try a couple more things from the main menu. Price wise I'd say it is very reasonable in this day and age...
