Saints of Ingram is one of the most talked-about new spots in Glasgow, quickly gaining popularity thanks to its authentic interior and high-quality dishes. In this review, I’ll focus on their brunch offerings, although it’s worth noting that the restaurant also has a diverse dinner menu, which deserves attention in its own right.

The brunch menu at Saints of Ingram combines classic dishes with a modern twist. Some of the most popular choices include Benedict eggs with smoked bacon, Royale eggs with salmon, Florentine eggs with spinach, and baked eggs in tomato sauce. We opted for the Royale eggs, and the dish pleasantly surprised us. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the fresh salmon added sophistication, and the rich hollandaise sauce paired beautifully with the bread from Wheatberry Bakery. The bread’s thick crust can be difficult to cut with the standard table knife provided. To avoid any inconvenience, I recommend asking for a serrated knife right away — a small detail that can significantly improve the dining experience.

The presentation of the dishes requires some attention: the edges of the plates were stained with sauce, which gave the impression of carelessness. Addressing such small details would enhance the visual appeal of the dishes, aligning with their high culinary standard.

The coffee was one of the standout moments of our visit. My iced Americano was perfectly balanced and refreshing. It’s clear that Saints of Ingram takes great care with the quality of their drinks, something that is noticeable in every sip.

Unfortunately, the desserts didn’t live up to our expectations. I chose the Bounty cake, and my partner had a croissant. Both items were not fresh enough: the cake was too hard, and the croissant was dry. The staff acknowledged that the desserts were likely prepared the day before and kindly removed them from the bill. However, such moments can affect the overall impression of the establishment, and it would be great if the pastries were always fresh.

The first floor of the restaurant impresses with its cozy and elegant atmosphere: dark tones, soft furniture, numerous candles, and a stylish fireplace create a pleasant environment. The interior has a vibe similar to bars like Devil of Brooklyn, making it particularly appealing to fans of that aesthetic.

The restaurant also has a second floor, which we unfortunately didn’t have time to visit, but we plan to do so next time.

Overall, Saints of Ingram is a venue with great potential, attracting attention not only for its interior but also for its high-quality cuisine. Despite a few minor shortcomings, the restaurant remains an excellent choice for brunch in a cozy setting. With some improvements in these aspects, it could fully live up to its popularity, and for now, it remains a worthy place for a pleasant visit.

Decor is fantastic. Hostess and waiter great. However, whoever manages the kitchen to table logistics needs to sharpen their knives and step it up a notch.

Chef: Duck salad is sooooo bland, lettuce mix and duck about as flavorless as possible. Imagine opening the bag of lettuce and eating leaf by leaf.

Medium filet was cooked without seasoning, it was dry, tepid basically overcooked. Don't know if it's cheff, it sat under a heat lamp or very slow delivery to table but you need to understand and fix the quality of the cooked product that appears at the table.

Meat doesn't have anything special to its taste. I did not want sauce on it but I should not have to take sauce for great meat cooked correctly.

Ice cream desert took 15+ minute to arrive. Come on staff this exposes and confirms your weaknesses.

Mayne the kitchen is first in first out and if they're slow then everything is slow. Or maybe stuff is pre cooked, and sits a long time to come to the table. That would explain why the steak was dry and not hot.

Again everyone is so polite, the place is beautiful.

Someone needs to rap a cane on some fingers and make small enhancements to the kitchen waiter staff and bang this would turn in to a first class place.

Lastly, please make it obvious for customers by adding to you bill wording if service is included or not. I know you know but we don't know.

Your building decor, hostess and waiter made the eving with stunning presentation. People were so kind and the night was really great.

It would be amazing if the manager and investors could hold this place to higher standards as with minor changes that persisted you'd be a top resteraunt way above most in Glasgow...

We had the strangest experience here. My friend and I booked in advance a table for 2 to dine in. We came to the door, and were told we need to wait outside. Eventually a security guard let us in and told us to wait at the front reception/bar area. After a while we were then told we could go upstairs and were directed to wait at the top of the stairs. We waited, and no one came. Eventually we were taken over to a seat at the bar (the place was half empty) and given cocktail menus only. We waited a bit and were eventually given food menus after asking.

The vibe of the room was strange, whilst it was extremely beautiful, there was a DJ playing really loudly in the corner when there was hardly anyone in the room, which made it really difficult to hear. There were also girls swinging and pulling on the curtains which felt a little odd.

We were left to browse the menu and the waiter came over and told us the food wait would be over an hour as they had a big table they were going to prioritise. My friend and I just got up and left after that - given the money we would have spent on some of the dishes the least we could have asked for was decent service... Particularly where we had booked in advance too.

I'm sad that was my impression of this place given it had been on my bucket...

this is in downtown, I did not see any parking around. Great decor, the staff was AMAZING! Waiter spent a great deal of time talking to us just as if we known him for a long time it was great. the level of friendliness and hospitality was very impressive. The menu is very nice and not expensive at all. TRUFFLED BRIOCHE- The dish is amazing even though I did not taste any truffle but there was a entire truffle mushroom itself there, the plate they presented it in was annoying to rest the silverware, was a bowl type of plate and the fork kept falling in lol GOLDEN BREEZE- the drink was suggested by our waiter and it was amazing cudos to him! GNOCCHI- WHAT an unfortunate plate. This was to me not a gnocchi.i love the fact that our waited noticed and made sure to ask me if everything was ok with my choice, that shows that the staff cares about customer service. The gnocchi was blend and tasteless it to me was more of a polenta and not a gnocchi it was cooked pan fried and not like a past should so it was not a great plate definitely not a gnocchi. I would definitely recommend the place, not the gnocchi but the place was pretty nice. come and have a try!

We visited here after purchasing an itison voucher. The place isnt the same as when it was a steak place. It's rundown and dirty inside... womens toilets - 3 cubicles. 1 was locked, 1 was overflowing post flush and the third had no lock on it - so essentially had a peep hole. Doesnt look like they hire a cleaner. The food was small in portion size and they forgot the 3rd course so after waiting 25 minutes for ice-cream we cancelled it! I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff were very welcoming and did their best but the food was not worthy of the price tag. We paid extra for the scallops which, when arriving were really fishy they didn't smell too healthy. The pasta was so bland and the prawns had purple veins running through them. Was really off putting. We both ended up with an upset stomach too. We spent in total over £100 as we also ordered a bottle - which the staff brought to the table to show us but then said they couldnt open it so had to take it to the kitchen for the chef to open.. Just bizarre. I'd be surprised if the place lasts much longer.
