This place is amazing. They do the best Cheese Tosties. Everything from a classic 3 cheese toasties, to maccaroni cheese & black pudding (in a toastie! That one is called a Mac & Black). The coffee is fabulous! They also do tasty pastries etc...

Decor is really cool with candy skulls and mandala artwork all over the walls, and massive thrown style chairs to sit in while you wait.

Service is a bit slow. They are quick enough to take your order and make coffee, but it can often take 15+ min to get a toastie. Which isn't a lot of time to be fair, but if you are on your lunch break and need to walk 5-10 min to get there, another 5-10 min to get back to the office plus a 15-ish minute wait for food... you quickly find yourself running out of time. That being said, the food is cooked fresh to order each time, and is amazingly delicious so it is worth the wait. Just something to be aware of if you have a short lunch break or an overly time-sensitive boss who will dig you up for taking too long.

Location is right in the centre of Dundee and really easy to find, with other eateries near by.

There is pay parking on the street outside, but it is a busy street so parking might be an issue. Easy enough to walk to from elsewhere in thr city, but just be mindful of the time to wait for food.

Even if just going in for a coffee I would...

I have been a fan of daily grind for around 2 years now, this is the first time that I have been to the Dundee branch. I did my usual of getting the barista to make my coffee as they think it should be to match the bean. I did not regret it I was made a Cappuccino that was lovely. The coffee would have been overwhelmed by a mocha and my wife's latte was nice but did not carry the flavour as well. The bitterness of the chocolate was just enough to remove the slightly harsh coffee taste. I enjoy all coffee types and I think the Cappuccino was the right call. The food was another highlight. Freshly made with good flavours everything feels fresh and high quality. I had the shackshuka and my wife the mac loaded fries both were amazing. The staff are friendly and I had some lovely conversations with those that I interacted with. The only gripe would be the lack of baby changing facilities in the toilet however they did have a high chair. There were however feminine hygiene products provided in the toilets a practice I would like to see more often. In summary every daily grind I have been to has been top quality and I would recommend them to anyone that would like good coffee good food and good...

Everything, and I mean everything was perfect about this place!

We were actually planning to visit another cafe nearby which, despite what maps said, was closed ☹️ we must have been looking a bit lost as a women in a nearby car shouted over and told us to try Stenecki! Thank you lady, what a great find!

Coffee - my friend had a double espresso which had a perfect, thick crema layer and was delicious. I had a dirty chai which was heavenly! I love that the coffees came with the most beautiful home baked sliver of crisp shortbread.

We actually both had the eggs Benedict. I am a huge fan of polish food and I loved how they combined such a classic dish with kielbasa (think UK smoked sausage but better) and pickled red cabbage. The poached eggs were also completely and absolutely perfect ❤️👌🏽

To top it off, the service was so friendly, and the decor was so beautiful and calming!

I literally can't fault our experience here. I just wished we had found it earlier in our stay (we were going home later that morning) or I would have been back every day!

I would return to Dundee just to visit this place, see you next time...

Truly spectacular experience today. Stopped with my mother to get lunch. We both got the soup of the day, a polish Grochówka, (split peas, lentils, carrot, potato, veg) which was served with whipped butter and toasted sourdough bread. The taste was superb and genuinely one of the best soups I have ever had. The bread was also excellent and came out nice and warm. Perfectly portioned servings, and my mother liked her coffee. I had asked for hot water which was supplied at no additional charge. Our server was utterly lovely and our food came out in no time. Incredibly reasonable pricing, both my mother and I were able to get food and drinks for £16. The general atmosphere of the café was amazing too, the decoration and the lighting made it feel very warm and welcoming. There were some seasonal options (coffee flavours/styles) as well as regularly changing menus for baking, soup and pierogi fillings. I will 100% be returning to try more of the menu and the drinks and I have a few friends I know would love this place.

I visited this place on 1st September and was honestly so impressed by the decor and interior. The vibe here is perfect, not too crowded like some other places, and it really gave me a sense of calm. It is the kind of spot where you can just relax, enjoy your meal, and take your time. I decided to try something a bit different and went for the Shakshuka, and I am so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and just really comforting. The only thing I would change is the portion size, though. It was great, but I definitely could have eaten more! The prices are on the higher side, but honestly, if you enjoy trying out new places and different cuisines, I think it’s worth it. To go with my Shakshuka, I also had a cup of hot chocolate, which was both refreshing and yummy. Overall, I had a really good experience here. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was just what I was looking for. If you like places with a quiet, chill vibe, you will definitely enjoy this one.
