This place is going to be brilliant. But, it's not quite there yet and unfortunately, this is down to the staff, or lack of staff, or actually, too many staff. Let me explain.

The bar looks great, fitted out to a very high standard. It's really lush. Loads of room. Great selection of beers and the burger I had was delicious.

I've been in twice now and thought the same thing both times. No one appears to be in charge of the front of house. All staff appear to be autonomous. There is lots of 'rushing-round-appearing-to-be-busy' when in actual fact, there's not a lot of work going on. For example, when I sat down at a table on my second visit, there were empty glasses on the table next to me and food remains all over the floor. Plenty of staff, just nobody directing them to fix these small issues.

Finally, guys (the owners), look I know it's your bar. I'm really happy you're here. But, please vacate the main bar area and move into a booth. I don't need witness your flouncing and moustache twiddling every time I come up to the bar. And, I think it puts your more inexperienced staff under pressure too.

Just saying, hire an experienced front of house manager. I'll be back though. Well done for...

Fabulous place to meet, eat and socialise. A large bustling place but set out to cater for all tastes. The bar area for the pop in and have one of the great selections of beer. The seated area for let's stay longer. The cocktail bar and tables to have something to eat. Also the separate restaurant area that's a little bit more of a private space. They even have a private party area. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. The steaks are amazing but then so is all the food. If you can't manage dessert after, we rarely have enough room, then try the dessert cocktails. Created by Allan the manager to give you a real sweet treat. They are also child and dog friendly with dogs given water, treats and fuss on arrival. Nothing is too much for the team. Although we have been several times now, we will continue to go and see how this new venture in Dundee...

Just popped into St Andrew's Brewing Co. for a bite to eat after getting jabs. We were both very impressed. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. With our drinks, we had brushetta with mozzarella, and chicken bites with a chilli sauce dip. Followed by Cullen Skink which I can honestly say was one of the best I have ever tasted (including my own version ☺️). Salted caramel panne cotta sprinkled with pistachios was, quite frankly, a revelation. All food portions were delicious, hearty, and served at the correct temperature. Not always the case in restaurants recently. The decor is lovely and there's parking right at the door (£3.30 for two hours during the day). This place deserves to be busier than it is and we will...

Always thoroughly enjoy St Andrews Brewing Co. It’s a great place to stop and have a drink - their house lager is lovely. It’s incredibly dog friendly. You’ll be offered a bowl of water without asking and there’s a jar of biscuits on the bar which you can help yourself too. We generally find over the course of the night, most of the bar staff will make an effort at some point to come and give our dog a fuss. We’ve had food a couple of times too. Menu is limited which you’d expect from a bar but it’s all pretty tasty and pretty good portions. Attached a picture of my chicken burger (only remember to take the pic after ripping the tomato off and taking a bite 🤦🏼‍♂️). All in all though, it’s a great spot and that’s why we keep going back.

Had booked lunch for a group of about 20. Had pre-ordered but were given a halved menu on the day. Very frequent drinks service but made us wait two hours for our lunch (after serving all smaller parties first even though some arrived after us with no communication from the staff). Then forgot one of the orders and didn't even apologise. Offered to cook it quickly now after we waited already 2 hours. Again didn't apologise or anything when the guest cancelled the order and left. The chicken burger was on the small side for £12.95.
