The Admiral Woods — Restaurant in Scotland

Horrible experience. We booked a table, but when we came in it took 20 minutes to be seated and when we got a table, the (I'm assuming) manager came up to our table and seemed really upset about us taking the table we were given. Apparently the person who took our booking didn't look at the seating plan. To make matters worse we counted 5 staff members, including the manager, who didn't have masks on. This is a serious problem during covid, especially when the cases in Glasgow are going up every day. One of the bartenders was chewing on his nails and wiping his face with the dishtowel that he had just used to wipe the bar, later set it down in a table in the smoking area and continued to use it. This is beyond unacceptable and disgusting even out of covid. the staff looked absolutely miserable and didn't seem like they want to be there at all, we wouldn't be able to tell if they were wearing...

Had a table booked for 15 for a 21st and 50th birthday. They had no Tennants, Dark Fruit, Copperberg, Red Stripe, Sol, Budweiser, and a couple of other drinks that I can't remember as by this time we'd lost the will to live. The poor waitress was apologetic but it wasn't her fault. We had to ask twice for chips that hadn't been brought with our food order. And when the bill came they'd charged us for two extra meals! Saving grace was that the food was nice so one star for that . For a busy city centre pub on a Saturday night this was just a shambles . Seriously think they should review who does their drinks ordering as it was beyond a joke. Ended up being served our drinks in half pint tumblers as they'd ran out of glasses! We had to laugh it off in the end and put it down to bad experience.No soap or toilet paper in ladies toilet and a blocked toilet full to the brim. But safe to say...

What a night. First time I've ever been to the woods but had a great night, only thing that let my night down was the the random Italian man that sat down at my table and then decided to bite my shoulder 3 times!! Fortunately for me and him I suppose is that I'm not the 10 years younger version of me that would've punched him in the face. Alerted the manager at the bar, who very quickly instructed the door men to have him removed and consulted with me to ensure it was the right person. Couldn't off asked for a more quick and efficient response. And to top it all off 5he manager also gave us a free bottle of wine, again absolutely no reason other than looking out for their customers. Thank you again what super...
