We popped into The Ditsy Teacup a little after 2.30 on a weekday and were greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome The atmosphere was calm cheerful and instantly put us at ease

Lunch was just what we needed We had paninis with fresh salad and crisps everything tasted homemade and the portions were surprisingly generous My daughter had the coronation chicken and was absolutely delighted to find it had no raisins or bits of fruit finally one that gets it right

The service was thoughtful and kind without being over the top and we never felt rushed I even noticed another customer came in well after 3 and was still warmly welcomed for a drink which really shows the attitude of the place

For context we had first tried Batchen Street Coffee around 2.15 after reading good reviews but were turned away quite abruptly by the man behind the counter even though they were still open and not busy No explanation and not exactly friendly

So pleased we ended up at The Ditsy Teacup instead It turned a frustrating start into one of our nicest moments of the day and we will...

This well presented cafe is a little hidden away if you're visiting Elgin and wandering the main streets, but it is well worth finding. It's pretty but without being twee, clean and sharp but not clinical. We found the staff warm and friendly, attentive and courteous.

We had both hot and cold food on our order. Both came quickly and were well presented. The quality of the ingredients was clear and we were both satisfied with both the quantity and the taste of our meals. The drinks, where so many cafes fail, were great: the tea used was good, the hot chocolate neither too sweet nor too watery.

Well done the Ditsy on not scrimping to save pennies and ensuring the customer gets a good quality experience at a fair price. We definitely enjoyed and appreciated our visit and will...

Probably the best tearoom I’ve ever been to. Be aware they don’t accept dogs but you may choose something to take away if you have no alternative for your pets. If possible, try to have a sit. The environment makes you feel in a romantic movie. Food was insane! I was not sure about my preference: sandwich or soup? The Ditsy Teacup had the perfect answer: you can have half and half! Don’t forget to try their brownie before leaving. The fact you are able to see them cooking cakes makes it even more peculiar...

I don't think one can find more of an enchanted place than this, where lovely faeries are taking care of your palate with sublime homecooked cakes and scones. we had a tea and a latte with sweets and cakes, watching the staff preparing next day sweets while doing their magical bakery was a surprising addiction to an already wonderful experience. do pass by and grab a bite when u can, if you're lucky enough to be local i am sure you know the place already but if you find it by chance, let yourself be enchanted.

Searched Google for places to eat breakfast whilst visiting and came across The Ditsy Teacup. What a find. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a really pleasant setting. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Trying the homemade fresh scones is a must!
