'Everything is awesome!' At builders brew 😂 sorry couldn't not...
What a fun concept! Pick a number of a kit to build from their QR code catalogue, and it's brought to your table to enjoy building along side enjoying some lovely fresh food.
The fair here is mostly, coffee and milk shakes, sandwiches, side salads , sausage rolls and cakes etc. We loved the peanut butter blondie 😍. It's simple but home made, good quality and fresh. Definitely fills a corner while you build something amazing!
This is the first time I've done anything like this since I was an actual child.... 😂 and I shocked myself how much I enjoyed it. The hairdressers Lego set reminded me of something like a Polly pocket crossed with a Barbie dream house and it was so fun. Tiny hairbrushes and scissors and parts that move. I can totally see why adults love Lego sets too.
There are all levels of Lego to build , and we finished ours in our 2 hour time slot. It's normally £3 per table and you can build one set at a time per table to avoid brick mixing. It's great to take the kids for an afternoon or for adults ! Would be a great date too- they say building IKEA furniture makes or breaks a couple, maybe Lego is a smaller scale test for the same thing 😂 don't worry me and James are still on speaking terms 😂
Staff were super helpful and a great time was had by all ! So nice to see some of the @sheffield_foodie_socials crew that I've not seen for a while too! Thanks @buildersbrewcafe !

Read moreMy partner and I booked a table ahead of time, and it was relatively simple (Choosing the amount of people, what time and how many hours). We booked it for two hours, and they don't have an extended variety of Lego sets. They have different themes, such as Marvel, Harry Potter, Disney, etc. We were hoping to build something big from Marvel, like the Nano Gauntlet, but they don't have a lot of sets for each theme.
You scan a QR code in the cafe from where you're seated to see their available sets. We got a flower bouquet because it had 939 pieces, and it came with the instructions sealed. While building the flowers, many pieces were stuck together, which ate into our time trying to separate them. If you want to make something with many pieces, book it for longer than two hours because there will be pieces stuck together in the box that will take some time to pull apart and get your fingers numb.
We haven't tried any beverages or foods there, so I can't have a say in what they serve.
I also took a picture of their toilet paper holder because I thought it was...
Read moreWe were really excited to try this place due to our love of lego but once we got there we couldn't have been more disappointed. Firstly the seating is really uncomfortable and as your sat for a couple of hours you really notice it. You can only do one set per table so not to mix the peices which makes sense but it also takes the fun out of the build if there's a few of you. We choose the Nightbus from Harry Potter. The instructions were ripped and missing a page, there were bits missing but no note to say they had been replaced with something else also you have to take it apart once built which again makes sense but the set we got had big bits that were still together again this takes the fun out of lego. The staff were really friendly and the cakes looked delicious but due to how grubby the prices felt we didn't eat anything, I did have a coffee and it was possibly the worst coffee I'd ever had. I was really excited for this place but it just didn't live up to expectations. We booked for 3hrs and left after 1. Won't...
