Our visit to Sakushi was quite a sad one. I use to absolutely adore this place it was one of the first sushi places to open in Sheffield and I use to eat here and order frequently. I hadn’t been for a few years so me and my sister went for a little nostalgia kick and we were so disappointed. The staff were lovely and really friendly but the food was horrendous. The rice was so over cooked it was almost a paste consistency. The sushi rolls were the quality of an all you can eat buffet style place like cosmos which is understandable at a place like that but not at a restaurant that specialises in Japanese cuisine. The sashimi looked like the frozen blocks of fish you find in a super market and just chopped into thick rectangles instead of nice slices, I took one bite of the tuna and it was spongy and almost feeezer burned consistency so I had to spit that out. We also ordered the gyudon and had to send that back the beef was like dried out super supermarket packet beef and the rice was a wet soupy mess. I also ordered the unagi don which wasn’t great either with just a few slithers of eel instead of and actual fillet. The prices have remained the same but the food has completely gone down hill. There are quite a few really good authentic sushi places in Sheffield now for the same price with far superior quality and taste we didn’t leave mad at the terrible quality just really sad at how far...

My Partner and I went to Sakushi last Saturday and have to say what a disappointment this was, the customer service is appalling. We have been once before a while back and both love Sushi and whilst we are aware that they don’t serve the best sushi in Sheffield (Edo Sushi is clearly the best, followed by the places on London road in our opinion) sorry I digress. However, they had a good offer on so we thought we would go. On arriving we were greeted and seated and the waiter, who we later discovered was the manager asked for our drinks order only to realise that we didn't have a drinks menu, he got two menus and brought them to us and said he would be back in a couple of minutes to take our order. Well, we waited and waited for ages trying to get his or anyone else’s attention attempting to make eye contact we were completely ignored. This was surprising as the place was only a quarter full if that and being that the food goes around the conveyor belt and the waiting staff wasn't actually busy serving the food and appeared more interested in chatting and laughing around the reception area. After a while we decided to leave, we will not be returning. This place really needs to raise its game around customer service if it’s going to offer average quality food in what is becoming a competitive Sushi market in Sheffield

We ate in during the early evening. We had choice of seating in the restaurant as only a few other customers were in. We chose all our food based on the allergy information, which seemed comprehensive. The katsu chicken buns seemed nice and fresh, but unfortunately the yaki chicken noodles came topped with sesame. As this was the food allergy, we notified the waitress to ensure our other dish - veggie chahan rice - wouldn't have sesame in. It transpired that the dish was cooked in and contained sesame. The restaurant started the dish again using different ingredients and offered a 20% discount for that dish. We advised the allergen information available was incorrect for both dishes, so that this can be rectified. Suggest extra care with food allergies (as always). An extra star is included here for the handling by the waitress, who did her best to resolve the situation and apologized for the incorrect information. We did feel that the dishes aired more on the...

The staff are really friendly, I came with my boyfriend and we ended up staying 30 minutes after closing time. As we came quite late there wasn’t much on the conveyor belt so we decide to order beef udon and pork Raman. These were nice, the beef udon >>>> pork Raman. We also go a pikajuice mocktail and a PJ martini mocktail. They okay but tasted like melted ice lollies and you didn’t even get much from the PJ martini. It needs to be diluted as it was way too sweet. We didn’t pick up anything from the conveyor belt as we realised it’s way too easy to pick up what you see and the price of your meal will build without being able to comprehend the amount you spend. Other than that it was a nice meal and the staff was accommodating to our allergy.

Great establishment. My favourite Japanese restaurant to visit as the taste is very authentic. The ramen here is fantastic and there's variety when making your choice. Carousel sushi is also available with each dish priced by plate colour. There are menu options for people with dietary restrictions so most people can eat here. Sakushi also has offers on every day of the week so that you can choose which day you'd like to go in order to have your favourite dishes at a reduced price. I'll be eating here again in the future and recommend it to anyone who would like to try some authentic tasting Japanese food. For a a full list if dishes and offers, check their website.

DELIVERY review* It has been the best sushi experience we have had at home in Sheffield! We ordered dynamite roll, sakushi roll, salmon nigiri, mixed maki (tuna, salmon, cucumber and prawn), takoyaki and the vegan bamboo selection đŸ€© I can't say anything other than it was delicious! The salmon nigiri and the prawn maki were my favourites, but honestly I can't complain. The packaging was good enough to keep the food fresh and ready to eat. The sushi arrived perfect. 🍣🍣 The vegan bamboo selection was soo amazing! It was the perfect mix and has now become my favourite sushi place in Sheffield, well worth the money.
