We dined here last night, before going to the theatre. We had stumbled across Caffe Piazza 18 months ago and were desperate to find this fabulous restaurant and eat here again. In order to do that we completely retraced our steps and were relieved when we once again walked through the door - no danger of us forgetting the name of the place again, we have photographed it, FB'd it and took a menu for our next trip! Not only is the food outstanding in quality, but the presentation of the food is a delight too. The staff working here are extremely polite and professional and the ambience is excellent too. Every aspect as as we had remembered it 18 months was retained - we were over the moon. I eat out a great deal and I can honestly say you are more then getting outstanding value (measured in quality) for money - it was far superior to the meal I had out on Friday night, which had cost twice as much. We are planning our next three theatre trips to Sheffield this year and we will DEFINITELY be having our pre-theatre meal at this fantastic place. Well done to you all for maintaining and improving on the standard - shame I no longer live in Sheffield, as I would be making it a weekly...
Read moreI have been here with my family 3 times now. The first time was great with lovely food and great service. The 2nd time was not so good as a number if items on the menu were unavailable and then they got our order totally wrong. However, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again this evening. What a mistake. Firstly I ordered a gin with elderflower but there was no elderflower. OK, not a problem, so I ordered a gin and lemonade. I was given a gin and a can of 7Up. Not what I was expecting as 7Up is lemon and lime which I don't like. We then all ordered a starter and a main but everything was brought out at the same time. When I said we had ordered starters they took the mains away but brought them back again less than 5 minutes later saying there was no room in the kitchen for them. There was no room on the table for everything and we were all squashed up and very uncomfortable. By the time we got to our mains they were stone cold. No apologies, no offer of a free drink or anything. We didn't bother staying for desserts and won't be going back after 2...
Read moreI went there recently for dinner with a friend. The Interior didn't look great as the walls had stains and it was pretty dirty but I still hoped the food would be good based on the reviews from Google. We ordered drinks and you could tell straight away that the quality wasn't good. My coffee made me sick and the juice we got tasted like water with a little bit of squash juice. I'm a big fan of pasta but when I got my tagliatelle carbonara I was really upset as it was the worst carbonara I had in my life. It looked bad, the bacon was frozen not fresh, and it had barely any taste, not to mention that tagliatelle itself was very on the edge of being uncooked. The pizza there was okay but nothing special and you can get a better one in many places around Sheffield. When I left an almost full plate of food all the waitresses were avoiding our table. We paid and left somewhere else. In summary, if you want to have a good experience (service, food and atmosphere)...
