Visited the restaurant recently. Food quality has dropped considerably. Ordered both prawn soup and Malaysian laksa noodles, broth were very thin. Chicken felt like congealed meat, rubbery. Tasted like prawn soup, but definitely not Malaysian laksa.
Ordered soya milk, hoping it would be freshly hand made. Turns out to be "more than likely" Vitasoy-alike soymilk, which was warmed up and served in a cheap plastic cup. Even the roadside vendors back in South East Asian countries would have the courtesy to serve in a proper glass/mug.
When asked for the bill, was told to pay in cash. Waitress said the card machine Wifi connection was poor, but we were sat literally couple of feet away from the till. She reluctantly asked us to pay at the till (which was fine by me). After paying, we noticed they had a little poster up on the wall selling frozen durians for £22/pack. This time, the waitress said this transaction MUST be paid in cash. We didn't have enough on us and the audacity, she told us to go withdraw some cash at the ATM (in the rain!!!).

Read moreI visited here twice both lunch and dinner when I arrived in Sheffield the first day. A Malaysian restaurant which also include plenty of Chinese food options, vast selection on the menu. The restaurant is very close to the city centre.
Not a concern to communicate with the staff in the languages I acquire - Chinese (mandarin and Cantonese), and of course English.
The food here is impressive, compared to the ones I tried in Manchester. A large portion of each bowl of noodle, not to mention the most outstanding food should you order are those needed to be stir-fried. Just like the stir fry beef rice noodle, egg fried rice (Uncle Roger would approve!), three cup chicken and so much more that I could taste the intensity and flavour of the wok under sophisticated cooking techniques. The lychee ice I ordered with less sugar truly came with less sugar, I was contented! One noticeable downside - the dinner’s dishes were too salty when they were...
Read moreI recently ate at Noodle Doodle in Sheffield, and it was fantastic! This place does a great job of mixing Malaysian and Chinese food, and everything we tried was packed with flavor.
The restaurant has a really warm and welcoming vibe that made us feel comfortable right away. The menu has a lot to choose from, so we ordered a bunch of different dishes to share. Every single one was delicious, and the portions were big enough to fill us up without a problem.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about what they’re serving.
If you’re into Malaysian or Chinese food, or just want to try something new in Sheffield, definitely check out Noodle Doodle. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more...
