Slap and Pickle is at Heist in Sheffield. Heist is a fab place to be. Great beer, entertainment however the food from Slap and Pickle did not meet expectations. It looked nothing like the photos. When we ordered there was literally no one who had ordered food as we were there around 1pm. However our food took forever to arrive! Probably 45 minutes! They clearly had a lot of food takeaways but rather than serve us first they instead dealt with these. I had the vegan burger and upgraded my fries. It cost £19, didn't even melt the cheese! Absolutely not worth it, for that price I would expect it to be good food however bang average or lower. Eat else where I.e Fat Hippo, Temple of Fun etc. Would not eat there again. However definitely visit Heist for a...

Ordered for takeaway in a house of one carnivore and two vegetarians, and our experiences varied. As a meat eater, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal; my Baconator was juicy, flavourful and delicious, the chips were fabulous, and the onion rings were the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, the vegetarians were very unimpressed with their burgers, which they described as bland and tasting mostly of burger sauce. I tried some of the vegetarian patty and sadly had to agree. The mock duck loaded fries were equally devisive; I really liked them, but the vegetarians found them far too spicy (not the restaurant's fault, to be fair, as they're advertised as a spicy dish).

Can recommend 100%, 5 out of 5 if you're a carnivore, but not if you're...

Really disappointed, wish I asked for a refund. First time going tonight and was expecting much more because the pictures make the food look much bigger than it is. I had the hey hot stuff burger and my 2 patties were smashed so thin it was like I had 1 patty instead of 2 and seemed pretty much none existent, was about as thin as 1 McDonald's cheese burger patty and were about the same size bun and nothing like the pictures on deliveroo, the onion rings made the burger bigger but for the price I wanted more actual burger. The sauces tasted really nice and the staff were nice but we paid £48 for 2 burgers with chips and 4 cokes, I think thats way too much for...

Popped into Slap and Pickle for the first time and the food was incredible. Not a massive beef burger fan normally but I’d highly recommend the beef burgers here, juicy and cheesy! The buffalo chicken was lovely and the different variations of loaded fries was good to see, the chips had a lovely crunch and they were fully loaded up with whatever topping choice you went for. We had the chicken kiev ones and they were delicious! Definitely be returning

Great food but a touch pricey. Stopped off and Sunday and had a sharing platter which was very nice. I would have expected a bit more chicken for the price however what we did get was really nice. Loses a star as if you want some sauce it’s £1.10! Don’t mind paying a fair price but £1.10 for a bit of garlic sauce is taking it a bit far. That point aside we would definitely visit again.
