Really nice cocktail selection which I'd have been happy to work my way through if only the atmosphere didn't make me want to leave as soon as getting through the door. The cocktails were let down by the price and size. (Original Pirates Material for size, Dead Parrott for price)

Really nice sitting area, let down by no table service, and long queues, so get ready to play rock paper scissors to choose who needs to go to stand at the bar waiting for half an hour to get 4 drinks. Unless they're different drinks, in which case make it 45 minutes.

Having said that, the ones left behind don't have it much better, as spacious as the seating area was (we reserved) it's let down by being so loud you can shout accross the table till your voice dies, still only getting blank stares and nodding in return.

If you want to go for the loud music, go for it, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. But if you want cocktails and conversation,...

Took a lady on a first date, been telling her about this place for a while, so you can image how keen I was to impress her. Got there ordered to dead parrot cocktails at 13.99 each. As the lady was making it neither of us saw her put any alcohol in it, after tasting it there was no doubt that there was no rum in it what so ever. Me and my date both said the same, I took them both back and asked the guy who I thought was the manager he was rude and ignorant, didn't once look me in the eye but continued by talking to me with no eye contact! He then dipped in a straw and sort of used it as a pippet. Tasted and chucked the straw aside and said there's alcohol in it, i was astonished and asked him how he could tell with such little liquid to taste, he just ignored me and walked off. I'm used to Kelham prices, and I don't mind paying decent money for a good cocktail. But when your glass is half the size of a daiquiri glass and half full I think it's taking the p* to be honest. Staff seem nice enough but it's not even remotely good value for money. Don't usually post reviews, especially not for bars as I'm a manager in a bar myself and I know that one bad experience may not reflect the venue as a whole but on watching the member of staff pour my drink it wasn't even a full measure.
