First time at this particular venue and the first time going to nandos since they've opened back up. We didn't know how things worked so stood outside waiting to go in not knowing we have to join a virtual waiting room. Once we finally gained enterence to the venue we were shown to a table. We had to order using an app by scanning a QR code. We didn't have the app so after much hassle we picked what we wanted. I then confirmed my payment only for the basket on the app to empty and our order had not gone through. We asked a member of staff for help and was told they'd come back, we waited and waited but they didn't come back. Eventually we managed to ask another staff member for help, this staff member was really helpful and took our order by writing it down and bringing the card machine to the table. So then we waited for our food, once it arrived we asked a member of staff for some salt and vinegar, he said he'd get some. We started to eat our meals, eventually we asked another member of staff for some salt and vinegar and it was brought to our table. The food it's self was okay, the organisation of how the place was run was really poor. Unfortunately we won't be going back to this particular branch of Nandos. Shame as we hadn't been since about Feb and I personally was really looking...
Read moreArrived at 18:30 and in a restaurant with probably 30 tables, probably 5 were occupied. Great news we thought: there will be tables. Walk in and ask the lady on reception “do you have a table for two?” “Yes of course” she replies. “You just need to scan the QR code behind you” she says. 5 minutes passes of us staring at one another. “Did you manage to join the virtual queue” she says. “What virtual queue?” “The one you join via the QR code.” “You pointed at the NHS track and trace QR code I didn’t know anything about a virtual queue, but we’ll join now.” We join the virtual queue in an almost completely empty restaurant. Another 5 minutes passes. The lady on reception says “just so you know there’ll be about a 40 minute wait” “40 minutes for food or a table?” We ask.
“40 minutes for a table.”
So in total we’ve stood in an empty restaurant for 15 minutes jumping through hoops joining virtual queues and at no point has she thought to say that this empty restaurant is actually full.
Nando’s food is good but I won’t be returning to this one until covid is over. They’ve...
Read moreFood was underseasoned, staff were friendly enough, but the whole idea of having people to order online themselves is stupid as hell in those types of restaurants! The manager or whomever idea was need to be fired! 1st people are spending quite a time to try to navigate through the menu, where if a waiter takes their order they will be served quicklier and gone faster. 2nd you are asking people to order online and if they want something more after touching the sticky chicken wings they need to touch their phones are you serious!? Could at least implement wet wipes or water with lemon...I mean travel around Europe for God's sake. Super disappointing. Food was not that great as well, not bad but not great. Cleanliness couod be improved. Sustainability is non existent in this place as well.....anyway, good luck. The only thing leeping you operating is the brand's name and that the restaurant next to you is closed, if a better system and iperated restaurant rent it your business will go down. Acoustic in...
