I have a complicated relationship with Fat Tonis. They have never gotten my order right, even though all I ever order is a ‘pesto pieces’ with extra pesto and added Parma ham. Nothing too crazy, yet EVERY time I order there is something wrong / missing. BUT, I will ALWAYS come running back to them because their pizza is so freaking good I refuse to eat any other takeaway pizza.

Even now that the Gloucester location is closed I will willingly drive 20mins to their Stroud location to collect an order because it is that good. In fact, just last night I drove into Stroud from Gloucester to collect 3 pizzas. One Tutto Carne, one fiorentina, and one of my pesto pieces. I had called ahead and my order was repeated to me correctly so they didn’t have any excuses to get it wrong. When I came to pick it up, I brought it back to my car and double checked my order to make sure everything I had asked for was on there (because they never get it right even though I called and the lady on the phone double checked with me...) and OF COURSE. No Parma ham. No pesto (?). So it was literally just a pizza with cheese and tomato sauce. So I walked back in, and told them it was wrong but the person I had asked had literally just come out of the toilet as everyone else was busy and he was said he would “fix it” by putting the ham on like I had ordered. But what happened next was he literally took his bare hands (no gloves) and man handled some ham over the top of my beautiful pizza. Needless to say I was disgusted knowing he had just come from the toilet. And very heartbroken knowning my poor pizza was probably tainted at this point!

I am giving them 3/5 stars because I don’t think any amount of bad experiences will ever deter me from their pizzas, but that’s likely just because I have no...

We tend to only order from here when they have an offer on otherwise it’s very expensive. The food can be good but last time we ordered they left off TWO extra toppings we had ordered, and did not remove the one that we asked?! Really wish they would pay more attention to what’s written on the order, couldn’t be bothered to complain as they are always so busy. Customer service is a bit hit and miss, we often find we are ignored when entering the shop, and the hygiene is questionable, no-one wears a mask despite working in close proximity of each other and staff have been spotted using their phones in between making/cooking pizzas (highly doubt they regularly sanitize their phones!) The first couple we ordered were extremely burnt although it would appear they have learnt from their mistakes in that respect.. Their website is pretty poor and won’t display all the products the sell so if you want dips etc you have to take cash and buy in store. Saying that ‘just eat’ doesn’t display different products either so you can’t really win! No one really likes their policy of cooking when you arrive at the store, it’s like they don’t trust that you will turn up? The place has potential but they let themselves down in many...

The thing is we didn't start well "our relationship", but it ended perfectly, as in a romance comedy. We were coming from our day trip to Bibury, very tired, and we still had to take another bus, but my husband wanted to try a pizza at Fat Toni's, so we ordered one, willing to take it in the bus to King's Stanley, where we are staying. What happened is that we asked them to finish preparing the pizza before our bus came. But the pizza wasn't ready at that time, and (it is a little harder for me to sum it up) the bus left without us, so we felt very frustrated and angry and we complained. Here is the interesting part: the owner of the restaurant offered to give us a lift. With the pizza. 😍 At first, we didn't want to accept, it was too much of a bothering for her, we had the option of waiting for the following bus, one hour later. But the pizza was going to be cool... In the end we accepted, not without some reluctance due to us feeling, yes, even guilty. She was a lovely lady, so nice and kind, so understanding... Now, we have just eaten the delicious pizza that worthed everything, and we absolutely RECOMMEND this restaurant. Good food and good treatment. Do not hesitate to try their...

Nice pizzeria - I found it less appealing for dining in, it was practical rather than atmospheric, but as I was travelling alone I did not require much. I asked to make my pizzas vegan and they did, lovely pizzas with interesting toppings. I had the vegan Vegesaurus and a vegan garlic bread. Both lovely! The garlic bread was HUGE though, it was more like a pizza. So I was served two pizzas - way too much for just one person. It would have been nice to get a warning, because I was expecting just some slices of baguette with garlic oil. But the taste of both items were very good, I did enjoy it and appreciate that they could make everything vegan without compromising on flavour or presentation.

Birthday treat take out as we had our dog with us. Great choice for both meat/less eaters. Friendly staff and very accommodating too when I asked for fries.(they don't usually do these with takeout as they get cold .) Restaurant was decorated nicely and busy , toilets clean and tidy. Pizzas went down very nicely leaving those spare pieces for morning ! When we're next in Stroud area we'd like to try the restaurant. Didn't give full stars only because we haven't eaten in yet . Oh forgot to take a photo of the tirimisu portion , very nice bit pricy at ÂŁ5 but it was my birthday ! And in my experience and years of looking nobody does a great tirimisu than a true Italian !

Loved it. Just loved it. Authentic Italian pizza. Good size and good price. Excellent service. Perfect in the dish and careful with the allergens. Nice different options. Visiting again and again for more. Every visit each nee recipe and I'm sure they'll not make regret it. Last 3 visits went perfect. Quite and simple cozy ambience. Toilets are neat. Not expensive. Good for dates and family dinners.
