To be honest this low review is down to service. Reading other low reviews they are all due to the service by the manager in handling complaints, which is not very well. We waited an hour for food. In the mean time we were given complimentary appetisers. We were about to leave as it had been so long and baby was getting very fussy due it being nap time (we thought we would have finished up eating by then but the food hadn’t even arrived) but we were told the food is coming in 2/3 mins so waited. The chicken sheesh was detailed on the menus as being served with rice and salad. When it came it was on top of a bread which I can’t eat due to allergy and this wasn’t listed on the menu as being part of the meal. Told the manager and she said “so what do you want me to do about it”. We asked how long another would take and were told 8-10 mins but we already waited an hour and couldn’t trust it would only take this long. Plus if we waited then the other meal would be cold by the time this one arrived. So we said we are just going to leave as we already were going to 5 mins earlier and the parking we paid for was almost up. But we were told we have to pay still. We said we will pay for the drinks and pay for the appetisers they gave for free but she wanted full payment. This was crazy as we didn’t even touch the meal due to allergy and the second meal still hadn’t even been served to us. She didn’t provide any solutions and said if she had an allergy she would make it known. I admit the menu had a small print about allergies which I could have mentioned, but sometimes with a young child you forget which is why often restaurants ask you before you order. Also I didn’t see any bread as part of the meal I ordered on menu. I was told “it’s a Turkish restaurant of course you will be given bread” by the manager. She took zero responsibility and just wanted money for uneaten and late food. She also started recording us which when questioned why, she said it’s ok as she had cctv too - doesn’t make sense to me why she was recording but I done the same them and the head chef who is the owner quickly said he is happy for us to leave without payment. We stuck to our word though and paid for the drinks and appetisers we ate (although we didn’t request the appetisers). I understand miscommunications can happen and would never leave a negative review if it wasn’t for the disastrous customer service of the manager who made this whole one hour ordeal without our food very...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place and were completely blown away. Everything was delicious, and the staff were very attentive. We ordered tzatziki and bread to start, and were pleasantly surprised to also receive a large salad, two additional large dips (I am not sure of their names) plus garlic and chilli sauce. We ate all of our bread and the staff were happy to provide more. For our main we shared a shish. It was perfect, and there were pieces of flatbread incorporated into the dish which beautifully soaked up the complex sauces. It came with a generous portion of gorgeous rice. There was a 50% off deal at the time, so we paid only £27 all in (including a beer and an excellent glass of rose!). We were kindly offered Turkish tea on the house afterwards. Even at full price it would be fantastic value, completely delicious, and a great dining experience all round. We will definitely be back. Earlier in the day we had paid almost £50 for two drinks and three appetisers nearby, so it's life affirming to find that great neighbourhood restaurants can still trade on the British...
Read moreHands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we stepped into Lazeez, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and an atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home.
A massive shoutout to our waiter, Ali Bond, he truly made the night unforgettable. His service was exceptional, a perfect balance of friendly and professional. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, from walking us through the menu to checking in just the right amount throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot on, and you could tell he genuinely cared about our experience.
Now, the food… absolutely out of this world. Every dish was an explosion of authentic Turkish flavour, beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and packed with the kind of taste that lingers in the best way. The meats were juicy and tender, the sides were fresh and flavourful, and every bite left us wanting more.
Lazeez is a true gem, and with staff like Ali, and food this good, it’s clear why they have such a great reputation. Can’t wait to come back,...
