Me and my wife had a weekend away in South Wales, we were recommended the beach at Porthcawl which is a gorgeous large sandy beach with lifeguard's in attendance. Anyway back to the Restaurant, Isabella's I can whole heartily recommend this restaurant, the fresh food is on display like a butchers/fish mongers the menu board is vast and an excellent choice to get the mouth watering (so hard to make a selection, if only you could rent an extra belly), the staff very friendly and accommodating. we didn't get there till gone 8 o'clock and they manage to fit us in, the surroundings are very quaint...........BUT with out a doubt the best bit about this place is the set Diner menu, I saw sooo many items on the main menu I wanted (money wasn't an issue as we were on holiday) but it was impossible to ignore the set menu especially when it had meals like moules marinières as a starter and rib eye steak in peppercorn sauce as a main and many more for £11.95..incredible and delicious. 2nd visit 29/07/2022. As for Eton Mess dessert , a crushed meringue, some sickly strawberry syrup and a spoon on cream in a short glass . Was the finishing touch … shame as the lamb was pink … pity the 3 minuscule slices of pepper were adorned by one piece of onion. The picture speaks for itself …. Sadly we Won’t be trying...
