Disappointing waste of money

What a joke of a restaurant. I ordered a meal deal of a noodle box, side and drink for £10.95 and in return got a box of greasy noodles and a couple of battered vegetables.

Lets start with the side. I'm fairly sure these are priced at about £4 each . I ordered a box of battered prawns, and received a grand total of 2 prawns with something like 4 pieces of battered vegetables (carrot sticks and such). Don't get me wrong, they were nice but I would have expected more than 2 prawns for the price.

Secondly the noodles. I ordered the duck option, not that it mattered because the pieces of meat were about the size and thickness of wood shavings, each attached to a piece of fat that was BIGGER than the piece of meat itself. Furthermore the noodles were fairly greasy and there was very very little veg mixed in - it may as well have not been there. This was basically just a box of greasy egg noodles with not a huge amount of flavour. For approximately £7. The noodle box was so bland I didn't finish it and was extremely disappointed.

Stopped for lunch in the shop. The box I had was absolutely delicious. I was hesitant to come as I had been to other fast food noodle places and disliked their food. The prices are excellent for the quality and amount of food you get. I genuinely thought I had been undercharged initially. But everything is cooked fresh in the back, and the food arrives at the table piping hot. Everything was delicious and I so thoroughly enjoyed my veggie box. Of the food my worst criticism is that I would have liked some extra tofu. But that is pretty darn minor as it was so lovely and I hope to have food here again next time I'm in Cardiff. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of how dire the toilet was. The seat was covered in dried urine and it was absolutely disgusting. I dared not touch it at all. If they cleaned up the bathroom I will happily give...

I’m not sure if I’ve grown or if the Noodlebox boxes have shrunk, but something’s definitely off. The boxes used to feel like a proper meal, now they’re more like a snack before the actual snack. Even the noodles look like they’ve been on a diet, and the toppings seem to have packed their bags and left early.

The taste is still decent , I’ll give them that, but it’s hard to enjoy when you’re playing a game of “Where’s Wally?” with the beef and veg in the hotbox. If the box gets any smaller, they’ll need to include a magnifying glass in the bag.

In summary: nice flavour, but my stomach is demanding more substance than...
