To put this review into context, my Partner and I took my Mother to Warwick for a nice relaxing drive and walk around the town. She wanted to treat us to a drink and bite to eat. My Mother liked the look of this cafe from the outside, so we went in. The Lady serving us was friendly but got confused with our simple order of 3 breakfasts, we had asked if we could have scrambled eggs instead of fried, and toast instead of fried bread. I ordered a Cappuccino and my Partner a Latte. When the drinks came, they both looked the same, and both tasted the same! Yes, I'm a coffee snob, but even for a 'Greasy Spoon' (see later) Cafe, with a non-barista coffee machine, the coffee's should taste a little like their name! The mugs were not 'dishwasher' clean and one had dried egg on the side. When the food came, the scrambled eggs were so dry and overcooked, they were chewy and were virtually devoid of colour. The sausages were again overcooked, to the point they were dried out and hard to cut with the blunt cutlery. The toast was clearly cold when the margarine (not real butter!) was spread, which hadn't melted. My Mother was concerned how loudly one of the staff was coughing in the kitchen area. At least this was after we had had our food delivered! Overall this experience was not very pleasant, and we all made references to the above issues. My earlier reference to a 'Greasy Spoon' cafe is not meant to be disrespectful, but as a seasoned traveller, I've had my fair share of 'Full English Breakfasts' over the years. On a positive note, the hash brown was nicely cooked and the bacon and chips were okay. At the time of writing this review (6 hours after visit), two of Us had poorly stomachs within 2 hours of eating. I also found it unusual that the cafe had no Customer toilet facilities. Unfortunately, this experience in The Tuckery means we won't be making a...

Great English Breakfast (£3.95)- Two slices of bacon, tomato, one egg, sausage and fried bread Pork & Stuffing Roll (£3.50)
Verdict: A homely cafe centrally located in the town centre of Warwick which serves traditional homemade food at affordable prices. They serve a vast variety of light bites, main meals and drinks which cater for palates of all sorts. It’s famous among the elderly due to the traditional food served here, which satisfy the taste buds of the old people around town, and mainly because one is able to leave the cafe with a full stomach without burning a hole in their pocket. The English breakfast set was a hearty, hefty breakfast plate which was satisfactory for the price. A tiny complain would be that the bacon was too fatty (would prefer a lean / meatier cut) and the fried bread was soaked in oil 😔
The biggest surprise was the pork & stuffing roll. I ordered this dish expecting a porchetta but in reality I got a bap🐷🤦🏻♀️ I guess I misinterpreted the menu so I was rather disappointed when it arrived. However, the thick cuts of pork belly which were smothered in savoury brown sauce and sandwiched between a fluffy bun topped with flour was a game changer - Dirty, drippy and decadent 🤤 I found the pork a little too chunky and hard to chew on, but thankfully the mash helped to balance out the overly porky sensation. The hint of sweetness from the sauce also worked superbly with the natural porky flavour of the cut. Overall, it was a simple and...
Read moreI recently had a disappointing experience at this cafe, particularly with regards to their English breakfast.
The dish was excessively greasy, and the bacon was notably absent from the initial serving (it had to be requested separately). The presentation was also lacking, with the chips simply being placed on top of the dish. Unfortunately, the quality of the food fell short of my expectations, and I was unable to finish my meal.
I also noticed inconsistencies in the service, particularly with regards to the £2 "fizzy drink" offering. While my drink arrived in a can, the table next to me received the same drink in a pint glass.
The menu could be clarified, and the atmosphere was not welcoming. The staff were friendly, but their communication could be improved.
Overall, I would not recommend this cafe for breakfast due to the subpar food quality and...
