I've visited this Panera more than a few times and I have never had a problem, but today I ordered "rapid" pick-up and it was not a great experience.
Three stars because you can tell the people who were working were working hard, and I am considering the shortage of staff members older than 16 years national wide. I deducted a star because there maybe some poor management going on here...
I ordered rapid pick-up around 130pm, the app stated my food will be ready around 141pm, around 150pm the status never changed to ordered ready. So, I went to the store... my food was not there nor was it ready. So, I waited. 10 minutes, 20 minutes...nothing. There were about 11 people waiting in Store for food, many requested refunds. Mean while, I at the 30 minute mark (41 minutes for ordering), still nothing. So, I too requested a refund. The staff was still VERY nice and professional...not rude at all!!!
I understand when things get unbalanced it can be a mess in restaurants. However, it was a little annoying for me to wait that long for a "rapid" order, when there were a good 4 staff members moving super slow cleaning nothing or just standing around the front of the store. They should have at least been trying to assist the kitchen staff, prepping, cleaning drink Machines, coffee bar...SOMETHING! The kitchen staff ( which included a manager was working too hard for there to be any standing around)... my opinion and IJS.
Also, if you are backed-up temporarily off online ordering, Catch up, then...
Read moreThis visit to this Panera Bread location started out fine -there was a wait to be served, but at 12:30ish on a Sunday, that is acceptable. What was not acceptable was waiting 30-40 minutes for part of our order to be ready, and that after two trips to the the pickup counter. My wife and I each ordered a pick-2 with drinks: i ordered 2 sandwich halves, she ordered a soup and a half sandwich. The pager never went off, and when i went up the second time I saw my sandwich plate on the prep shelf. I brought my receipt(timestamped 12:41) to ask about the order at 1:26 and returned with my sandwichwes and her soup. The linecook (who did not return my receipt) said to keep the pager as she would remake the sandwich. After 50 minutes, my wife had finished her soup and no longer wanted the sandwich, which was still not ready. Upon going up yet again, I was offered a free soup when what was missing was the sandwich.
I went up twice to the sales counter asking for a manager to ask for a partial refund, but he or she never came up front. We ended up leaving disappointed with the company, not wanting to waste more time.
It's a shame to loose future business over a $5 sandwich, we will not return.
I do not blame the line-employees, instead it is a failure of management and the shame and loss of reputation I lay at their feet. So I can not and will not recommend this...
Read moreThe Acworth Panera is trash. They just cannot get it together. The little high school girls making the sandwiches don't even bother to bring the to-go orders to the shelves when they're ready, much less do a curbside order. I stood by the counter and had to call out for the girls goofing off in the back to hand me my bag which I could see on their side of the counter. I get home and open my sandwich, and only half the sandwich had chicken on it. There were no grapes in the chicken salad and it was clear that the lettuce was the "meat" of the sandwich. I tried calling up to the restaurant numerous times and nobody answered the phone. So now, scheduled to have my son to baseball in 30 minutes, I have to go back up to the restaurant in rush hour traffic to get my refund. I don't have time to have anything remade correctly. The manager does issue a refund, but being experienced in customer service, she should have offered to do more especially when I told her I wouldn't be back. Not sure if this is corporate-wide, but I doubt I'll be trying any Panera again in the...
