I was in this neighborhood and decided to give this location a try. As usual I ordered my food in the app for curbside pickup with the first time slot chosen, when I arrived they did not have assigned parking for curbside but instead had 2 spaces assigned for takeout orders with a separate entrance saying TAKEOUT to the right of the main door so I parked there & "checked in" with the app but this location did not have a phone number on the signs to call. I waited for over 10 minutes in the takeout spot before I finally got out and when inside the takeout door to see the hold up was. There were lots of employees inside, more than I have ever seen at a Dickeys and no customers though at that time except for me coming in the takeout door with my cane in hand to help me walk. I asked the girl at the register if they had curbside since I had been out there for quite a while waiting. She asked what was the name on the order while an older lady who was apparently the manager on duty popped up from wirhin the crew and came to look my order in their holding oven behind the counter and initially said they did not have an order for me which made me 2nd guess if I was at the correct location but then pulled a bag out that was mine and it was clearly labeled curbside on the ticket. She then brought the bag over and set it next to the empty cup on the counter around the corner from where I was standing and I asked if she could hand it to me where I was standing because I was very sore that day but didn't tell them that. She did take the cup to the far end of the store where the drink station was to put my tea in the cup which considering the cup was empty and obviously put there when they prepared my order for me to fill myself I knew she was doing it for (if I had been a regular to go order idk if she'd have done it) me but she never acknowledged the curbside pickup and expected me to walk even further to get it which I thought was very disrespectful. I will not be going back to this location. They had lots of employees standing around doing nothing but waiting; so one of them could have easily brought it out to me vs the other locations I go to (Plano Rd in Richardson and the one on 75/central exprwy near Knox where I have never seen more than 2 or 3 people working) where they will bring it out to my car. Also, they make you add a tip when you place the order, so I did, but regretted after the service or lack of it that I was given. This needs to be changed to after the service is complete so it's more appropriate to the services &...
Read moreDickey's reached out and let me know that problems related to online delivery orders have been resolved. I ordered today appetizers, a 3 meat plate, a drink and dessert. Everything was perfect, delivery was quick and my complaints are irrelevant. I can totally recommend ordering online and having it delivered.
Thank you to the owner for responding, to dwayne garrison for reaching out to let me know i wouldn't have any more problems, and to the staff for making an outstanding meal.
I'm leaving the original up so it's clear how much of a 180⁰ today's experience has been. I'm impressed, thank you.
[Redacted] Don't order deliver. It's a frustrating waste of time. Orders that have been completed have usually been missing items. Half of my orders have been cancelled after waiting an hour. Their website ordering uses 3rd party delivery, which often doesn't generate an order for the delivery service to pick up, wasting the delivery drivers time. Then the order gets cancelled. And you have to call their corporate office for a refund. Ive had trouble using uberEats, grubhub, and activemenus.
The food is pretty fantastic. I recommend visiting their restaurant and enjoying their food in person. But there's no way that 1 person can have SO many problems with nearly every order, save 2 that i know were delivered without problem and were complete with all items. Easily a dozen other orders have left me to go hungry.
Good food, but systemic problems with online delivery ongoing for a year. Im sorry that i can't recommend the delivery option the same as i can recommend their food, which i have enjoyed for many years. I hate leaving a...
Read moreThis is my first experience with Dickey’s. I placed a pickup order since I was at work to save time on my lunch break. When I got to the store, not only was my order not ready, but the lady at the counter told me they do not have brisket (which is what I was craving specifically). That’s fine, whatever. So I ask if I can at least get a refund because I didn’t want any of the other meats (again, I was craving brisket, nothing more), and she told me she cannot issue a refund. Huh? Well, I’m not gonna be out of $20 in this economy! So I replaced my brisket with their pork ribs. The ribs were dry on the sides, the green beans had NO bacon (neither did my coworker’s — who ordered green beans and brisket as well), the green beans had NO seasoning, and I didn’t get my onions and pickles.
On the upside, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was not bad, and the potato salad was bearable.
No offense to the lady at the counter, she was older and barely spoke English so I understand if she didn’t know how to work the system, but cmon…the whole exchange was ridiculous. She was the only one working too….that seemed odd.
I have never left a negative review before, but considering I didn’t get the order I paid for and it wasn’t communicated to me PRIOR to getting to the store that they didn’t have what I ordered, this is fair. I would have at least appreciated a phone call to let me know there would be a delay/problem rather than being surprised.
Again, no offense to the lady but …. Will never...
