Exceptional Service and Delectable Pizzas at Pie Tap, Addison TX
My recent visit to Pie Tap in Addison, TX, was nothing short of remarkable, warranting a well-deserved five-star rating. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was a testament to exceptional service and culinary delight.
The standout feature of Pie Tap was undoubtedly the service. It was attentive, personalized, and exceeded expectations at every turn. A small but telling example of their meticulous attention to customer needs was observed when we requested ranch. The server, displaying keen awareness, ensured that everyone at the table was provided with their own serving, a gesture that may seem minor but significantly enhanced our dining experience.
Moving on to the star of the show - the pizza. It was, in a word, amazing. The crust was perfectly baked, achieving that elusive balance between crispy and chewy. The toppings were fresh, abundant, and harmoniously balanced, creating a symphony of flavors in every bite. Each pizza we ordered was consistently impressive, indicating not just skill but also a passion for pizza-making.
The ambiance of Pie Tap complements the dining experience. The setting is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the restaurant’s upkeep also did not go unnoticed.
In conclusion, Pie Tap in Addison is a gem that shines bright in the realm of casual dining. Their commitment to outstanding service and culinary excellence is evident, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for top-quality pizza and a delightful dining experience. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to all pizza...
Read moreWent here Sunday Dec 8, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. The door is hard to open, one has to give it a hard tug to go in. The large round table with aqua-colored cushions is not attractive and should be by the west end, not in front of the open kitchen. The price of a 12" pepperoni pizza of almost $20 is a downer. The pepperoni pizza, as shown attached, had a wide crust almost 1/3 the width of each slice, so the pizza is mostly bread and a little tomato, cheese and pepperoni. I remarked to my friends that I didn't like the taste; the first time in my life I didn't like a pepperoni pizza. The equally expensive "mushroom" pizza has eggs, carmelized onions and bacon so I hardly tasted the mushrooms. It was ok, but should be called breakfast pizza and is not something I'd go back for. The restrooms are below a big M|W sign on the wall, but then W is on the left and M on the right, which is odd, and are for one person at a time. I asked the waiter to please take a photo of us, and he didn't try to center us or zoom in, though I cropped it later. For payment the waiter stands over you smiling holding the payment machine displaying the tip scrren, which starts with 25%, which would have been $11 for taking our order and once offering us more water, or 20%, almost $9, which I chose, or 18%. No 15% option. To leave, the door seemed locked until I shoved on it a second time very hard.
A lot of money for a bad experience. I...
Read moreI’m so disappointed in this location after going to the Dallas locations, or just any restaurant.
Not only was the cold food and the service poor….
but pocketing a tip from the cash I provided and requested change for.
I needed change so I could leave more than a 13% tip. Even when service is poor I leave at least 18% — usually 20% if I can tell they are understaffed or something going on and not just rude. I leave more than 20% if they are good to great servers.
The story:
I was there for brunch with friends and my eggs Benedict came out cold. The server didn’t come around so I did get up to find him and ask for condiments. I was never asked if I needed another drink, more water, etc. I didn’t say anything about my food being cold as I figured with the poor service it would take a long time to heat up or give me a fresh plate.
Mind you, this was at noon and the restaurant was less than a fourth full. Not busy at all.
What really upset me the most is that I paid in cash and the server pocketed a +20% tip. I was not given the correct change and when he did provide cash back, he didn’t bring the receipt back so I did have to request that again.
I will never go back, obviously. And will never request change back but always pay with a card or exact cash payment.
I do not believe servers should just pocket the tip they want. Unless it’s a big group and 20% is automatically added to the total. But this was not the case. He just took the...
