The Mucky Duck Bar — Restaurant in Addison

Typically I have a great experience but today was not that. I came in twice today and first round was fine. Second round I was with two other people and ordered drinks at 657pm. Which is right before happy hour ends and the waitress walks straght to the POS to enter the drinks. We got 2 each to lock in the price. She comes to our table with two drinks and one was not one we ordered. Nbd, she comes back with all 6 correctly after about 10 mins. When the check comes, none are on happy hour pricing. I brought this to her attention and she said to call Brad (or Brandon) tomorrow. Um no, why can't you fix it tonight? We come every week so I'll be choosing somewhere else until when and if Felicia returns because I never had issues with her.

I went in Saturday after Oktoberfest, and it was packed as expected. I literally waited over 15 mins for a brunette male bartender to serve me. He wasn't overwhelmed. He was just slow. Later in the night I witnessed him taking a shot, so maybe that was the problem. As an ex cop I'm pretty sure TABC would frown on that. The bathroom was disgusting with paper towels everywhere and the trash overflowing. I had ordered food, and after 30 mins I went by the kitchen window thing and saw it just sitting there while the manager I'm guessing with a hat on just stood there talking to a waitress. While I ate there was a terrible sewage smell that kept lingering. I'm pretty sure a couple months back when I was in there I smelt the same thing. I'd hate to see the kitchen. I had lunch at your restaurant a few weeks back and the service delivery was not good. We were left alone without drinks and the food was delivered later than we had expected. I think the reasons why this happened was you were short staffed at that time, and we were seated on the patio alone (out of sight, out of mind) with most of your customers in the bar and indoor seating area. Besides that, you had a new server helping us that day, he was very young, maybe his first gig as a server. All that said, I'm still wanting to return to the Mucky Duck again because you've delivered great in the past, especially at the bar, and I like the ambiance. I'll chalk that experience up as a one-time loss, no big deal. Don't give anyone a hard time about this, but maybe put some thought into how to improve your service...
