Came in on a Monday night 9/8 around 6:30 and sat in section 2. The place was pretty empty. When we were sat, both seats on the booth were visibly broken or not in place and the highchair had no buckle, whatever we didnāt care. When greeted, she asked us if we already knew what we wanted (we just sat down and hadnāt even opened our menus yet). I asked our server to put in my 1 year olds meal when we ordered our drinks because we had no clue what we even wanted yet and the baby was hungry. The server said no ābecause it comes out first anyways.ā After 10-15 minutes of us trying to navigate a new menu we finally ordered the appetizer trio, spinach dip, and the babyās food.
All of the food came out at once and the babyās plate was burning hot (meaning it had been sitting under the heater for a while. I used to work at this location, so I know how quick it should take to make a kids Mac and cheese and fries) When I tried to give the baby her food, it was so hot that the SPOON burnt her mouth because it was sitting in the scolding hot Mac n cheese. We then were unable to finish our meals because it took a very long time to ASK our servers for refills. Our server was tending to the table behind us (which is understandable usually), however, she spent an absurd amount of time at this table chatting them up about what alcohol to order and that āshe knows the best way to order the drinksā and that āthe next time they wonāt be able to order them because sheās the only person that knows how to order it said wayā. The chips were stale, the spinach dip tasted freezer burnt, I asked for hot honey wings but was given honey pepper.
My friend and I also wanted to order dessert but because the server was either chatting to the table next to us or no where to be seen, we had to use the tablet. We had asked for the check and told her we ordered desert. Our triple chocolate meltdown was brought to us with the ice cream melted by someone who was not our server because she was again talking to the table behind us. Since she didnāt bring the check, we paid on the tablet. While we were trying to eat the desert, a disturbed and clearly inebriated man harassed my friend and mostly my baby making myself and my one year old (who normally loves people) completely scared. This man was blocking us in at our table waving cash money at us and trying to force my one year old to take money from him. Was saying he wanted to buy my one year old dinner and wanted my ONE YEAR OLD to eat at the Italian restaurant he works at. Where was the manager? We always had a manager on the floor, especially when it was dead and they wouldāve NEVER allowed a situation like this. Now I know this isnāt our servers fault, but he was clearly drunk and she was still allowing him to order drinks and since she was so consumed into the conversation at the table next to us, she did not notice that we were cornered by this man being made very uncomfortable. The last time she came to our table and spoke to us at all was when we asked her to bring our check which was before our desert came out. Maybe because we had already paid, she thought she wouldnāt have to check on us anymore? She only had my table and the table behind us.
I think her name was Cassie. It was Monday 9/8 in section 2. I normally donāt leave reviews, especially lengthy ones, however, this experience tonight has made me never want to come back to this location. When I worked there, we were told to be aware of our surroundings and to make sure guests donāt disturb other guests, and we were told to constantly check our tables even if we felt like they had everything they needed. We had to ask the host for help a few times because we couldnāt find our server. Every time I come here, it gets trashier and trashier. Itās unfortunate because in other states and areas Applebeeās are usually pretty nice and a go-to. I used to go to Applebeeās 1-2x a week when I...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll give this a 3 based off my last two visits. I would have gave it a 1 star just based of my last visit but you can tell when the GOOD manager is working. Bc she shows herself greets tables to check on how the service is going. I had not one single problem with her on shift. Now I donāt know what they had going on a few days ago but it was the total opposite. My family of 4 walks in we arenāt greeted for a solid 2 minutes. It didnāt bother me, Iām patient. What bothered me was our server had barely any tables but took 5 minutes to get to our table. I love a good restaurant family though bc the host noticed and asked to get ours drinks for her after noticing us sitting for awhile. Finally we get our drinks and our server is immediately ready for our order my husband said he needed a few minutes so she walks away and 60 seconds later comes back and says ok yall ready now. Sure, we order the 2 for 25$ the fettuccine Alfredoā¦.. tell me why they bring me penne noodles. Iām confused Iām looking confused when my server drops it at the table but instead of using common sense and seeing my facial expressions is simply NOT satisfied she just walks away. Doesnāt ask does everything look alright nothing.. then disappears off into the kitchen. I had enough time to grab a menu off the hostess stand just to check and see maybe Iām crazy maybe it said penne noodles sure enough it didnāt. I eventually speak with our server a few minutes later and ask to speak with the manager. Bc who just puts food on your plate you didnāt ask for and expects it to be just okay with us. She goes well Iāll check and see why they did that. Instead of grabbing the manager she comes back and tells me the manager said the noodles will be ready in 10 minutes and we could wait if thatās what we wantedā¦. HUH I said no maam I want to speak with her. The audacity of this blew my mind. So we waisted an hour left hungry. And still had to pay for our kids meal. Now Iām not sure if the drink on the kids meal comes with the meal anymore but I was charged for a additional kids drink when we only had the one with the meal and charged us separately for the wings that came with our 2 for 25. Nobody had decent customer service skills in there at all that night maybe the host with the rings and thatās about it. BUT THAT OTHER MANAGER THO WHEW SHE DERSERVES A RAISE. (I wish I had the names of whom Iām speaking about)
Update: they reached out promised a gift card and then never sent it out to me, and when I reached out they never responded :) very poor management I will not be bringing business to them any longer & Iāll take the other two stars away because they very clearly...
