‼️LONG POST ALERT‼️
Ever since I’ve been in this small town of Aiken, I haven’t had the best of luck with customer service. The weirdest thing happened this morning 03/23/2024 at this location. I purchased a Signature latte on my way to work yesterday 03/22/2024. I waited in the drive thru for about 10-12 mins which wasn’t too bad. I placed my order and got to the window and received my drink. I pulled off and took a sip. The coffee tasted burned or scorched. I went back around to go back through the drive thru but the line was too long as well as the line inside. I didn’t have time to wait. I called the number on my receipt and let them know that I was just in the drive thru and I told them what happened and that I would return the drink with my receipt in the morning.
I returned to the store this morning at 6:05am. I pulled to the drive thru order box and asked if the inside was open because I was returning my order from yesterday. The lady asked me to drive around to the window. I got to the window and explained again that my drink tasted scorched, I tried to return it but the drive thru and inside lines were too long, I called to inform someone that I would return it when I left work the next day. The young girl at the window interrogated me like I stole the drink or something. She asked “ok, sooo who did you call?” I repeated that I called that store. She said to me “yeah, I’m not sure who you called because we don’t even have a phone here.”
At this point we’re just staring at each other for maybe 15-20 seconds. I was staring in disbelief and she was looking as though she wanted to say “so what do you want me to do?” I got frustrated and said “I’m not sure who I spoke with and I don’t have anything to do with the fact that you all don’t have a phone. I just want the drink remade!” She showed the receipt to another employee who I heard ask the young lady if I wanted a refund. I told her NO and repeated “I just want the drink remade.”
If I spend almost $7 on a cup of coffee or anything for that matter, if it’s not to my liking I’m going to return it! I have the right to receive what I pay for. It’s a shame that in this day and age that we have to go through being interrogated when a person has proof of purchase and the untouched item as proof for a return or exchange! Management at this location should do more training. This location needs to have a phone and not a number on a receipt that is directed who knows where! Corporate please get involved! I didn’t look at the reviews at this location until I began to write mine and I see 1 stars are pretty common at this location....
Read moreVERY rude drive-thru cashiers. I came a few months ago; it was my first time going through the drive-thru there. As I'm looking at the menu trying to decide, the cashier yells out "Dunkin donuts." I decided to just get an iced coffee so I wouldn't hold up the line and she was obviously in a rush since she couldn't say more than two words... The cashier says, "Well what do you want? What size? What do you want in it?" I just laughed because I really couldn't believe I was being spoken to in such a nasty tone. She handed me my coffee, and I handed her my card. I turned for just a second to put my coffee down and she was holding my card out with a stank face like I was taking all day. I decided to try again the other morning just before work since it could have just been that one cashier. Nope. A different cashier said nearly the same thing; "whaaaat do you want in it??" I pulled up to pay, handed her my card. She's having a full on conversation with another girl - could have been the cashier from my first visit - and when I said thank you I was completely ignored. I have worked in customer service for years and this is just unacceptable. If you hate your job and hate people that much, please find a new job. Especially in a place like Dunkin Donuts where you could be someone's first human interaction of the day and determine whether or not they have a good day!...

So when we pulled up to through the drive thru speaker the lady already had an attitude and kept rushing and interrupting my husband as he was trying to tell her what he wanted. So when my husband was finally able to order his coffee and I went to order what I wanted the lady kept interrupting me and then said "well why won't you get a latte instead (I always drink Caramel Macchiatos) cause it seems like that's a better fit for you anyways. I'm going to make you one." (I don't like lattes) So I told her nevermind I don't want NOTHING. I do not think it is very professional of someone to tell someone what to order when the person already knows what they like and want. I understand like giving people some tips on how to make their drink better or if they never ordered before but telling them WHAT to order is a different story. So when we pulled around to get my husband's coffee it was completely wrong and he said it tasted like dirt and had to walk inside the store to let them know and ask them to fix it.
