Emperador asian-mex — Restaurant in Aiken County

What used to be Red Bowl is now Emperador Asian-Mex. The menu is virtually the same, minus sushi plus Mexican staples. They are understaffed so service was slow, but fine. I ordered wonton soup and got wonton-egg drop combo soup. Tasted like chicken soup. Husband got the house special fried rice and a California roll which was fresh and rice had good flavor. My pineapple chicken dish was beautifully presented in half a pineapple, but there wasn't much flavor and the steamed rice was forgotten even after reminding the server. Music playing in the restaurant was an odd choice of 90s...

We ordered Chicken and Broccoli and Moo Goo Gai Pan via takeout. They appeared to have good quality ingredients however both were flavorless. The sauces are what make an Asian dish and they were thin and tasted like mild broths. The other problem was the gentleman answering the phone and taking orders did not seem familiar with the menu. I received a pineapple chicken dish instead of the Moo Goo Gai Pan I ordered. Needless to say we will not...

Sushi rolls chips and salsa and our dinners were fantastic, the menu is huge and everyone should be able to find something they like. Mexican Asian ,even pho ... our waiter was extremely courteous and well dressed...always checking on us and very patient while we ordered because the menu is so huge....I would definitely recommend this place to eat dinner or for takeout!!!! Excellent!!!! Open until eleven on a Saturday is a rarity...
