After deciding that this would be our dinner evening that we tried the new Toasted Cheese Chalupa, we went to the West Market St. location and ordered 3 of the boxes. The cashier asked if we wanted sauce and I told her yes, mild sauce. When she handed us our food I asked for the sauce, to which she replied it was in the boxes. We got home and prepared to eat, but there wasn't a single sauce packet in either box. I called back and talked to the General Manager Brad, who apologized and offered us 3 cinnamon twists on the next visit. I told him providing a dessert doesn't make up for the dinner we could not properly eat. I told him that the sauce is what gives the tacos/chalupas that extra flavor and makes them not dry, and that now we would have to find something to put on them to make it halfway edible for tonight. Basically in our family, the sauce is as important to the food as are the cheese and tomatoes. Brad then said the only way he would replace the food is if we brought it back. I already wasted my time the first time, I did not want to have to spend more gas to accomplish something that should have been done right the first time. We were the ones inconvenienced. We understood that things happen, but I don't appreciate him treating me like I was out for a free meal after he acknowledged they forgot it. We spent nearly $16 for meals that we had anticipated tasting for a while. There is nothing free about wanting meals replaced and with the requested condiments. Wasted dinner and wasted time because the now cold and dry Chalupas taste like something I couldn't even give away.

Read moreWent to get dinner after my daughter’s softball game. Decided to dine in as she likes picking her drink and ordering off the touch screen.
The dining room was a mess. Food all over the floor, as well as the tables.
She was really thirsty as she just got done playing softball out in the sun and heat, so I decided to ask for our drink cups while we waited. The manager who was in a plain black t shirt with no name tag on was at the register, made no eye contact and was visibly annoyed that I asked.
Got our drinks and the food was ready. Asked for straws. Same attitude, “we out” she snapped. Again no eye contact. Absolutely terrible customer service. I hope she’s not the one teaching and leading new employees.
As far as employees go, I watched an employee go out for a smoke break, stand right outside of the door, and smoke a cigarette while still wearing their blue food service gloves. Came back in after smoking and touching the door handle, straight back to the line with no hand washing or glove change.
Rule number one in food service, wash your hands and change your gloves after changing tasks, eating, smoking, touching your face, using the bathroom.
I think a close second is don’t be rude to your customers, especially with the inflated cost of food nowadays. But if that “pleasant” manager can’t give someone a couple cups without an attitude , I’m sure they’d have a hard time instructing employees on proper hand washing and sanitation of the dining room.
Definitely won’t be back to the West Market / Frank Ave. Taco Bell any time soon.
By the way, this review comes from someone with almost 30 years in the food service industry.
I hope someone from corporate reads this and takes...
Read moreThis was my first and last visit to this location. I asked to substitute a soft shell in place of the hard shell on a cheesy gordita crunch, something that I have done literally hundreds of times. When I asked for the soft shell I was immediately told we can't do that. I said I have had it like that before many times, I know it can be done. She said no it can't but I'll ask my manager, a few seconds later she says my manager says we can't do that. I said to her, you can't physically put a soft shell taco in place of a hard shell taco? She said no, we're not going to do that. So I settled for the hard shell since I didn't have time to argue anymore and there were people behind me. I got to the window and paid and the manager was in the window who said I'll have your baja blast in a second, when I got back to work I found out it was a regular mountain dew. Of all the taco bells I have been to I have never experienced such carelessness.
I called to ask the name of the manager on duty and was told that there wasn't just one manager on duty, there was Corey, Sierra, AND Theresa... Out of all of the management present, not one had enough competence to substitute a soft shell in place of a hard shell nor enough appreciation for their customers to even acknowledge my inconvenience. Just wanted to update this with proof that it can EASILY be done. Drive thru cashier didn't even need to ask...
