Stopped here to get food for myself and my family as we were driving late at night on a trip. And since we had been driving for a while, we decided to go inside so we could stretch our legs. We went in to get our food, but we ordered it to go. The crew was split into 2 groups, two-thirds just wanted to goof around and talk with friends coming in and do nothing. The other one-third was trying their best to get the work done but they were mainly so busy trying to get the drive thru orders done that us and the other inside customers were left sitting inside waiting and waiting for our food. But we all got to see the show of one of the crew members leave his spot at the register area to come out into the restaurant area to hang out and talk loudly joking around with his friends that walked in 5 to 10 mins after we arrived. Other crew members tried to call out to him to get back to work and help them. He just rolled his eyes at the girl crew member and laughed as he continued to talk with his friends. He finally went back into the work area to help. But it seems it was just his friends food he was getting ready and given to them even though others were there before us were still waiting to be served as well as us and his friends were there way after us all. After he got their food out to them, he went back to doing nothing again. Walked way back into the back of the work area and started talking and joking around playing with other crew people while the other crew members were trying their best to do the work on our orders. The register was left unattended for a very long time. A line started forming in front of it, waiting for assistance. They kept looking around and leaning over it, looking for him so they could place their order. Finally, after a long time, he came up and took their orders. After that, finally, the others were waiting for their food orders before us got theirs, and then we were given ours. The food tasted fine, but for the time it took to receive our food, you would expect it to be perfect and extremely good, but it wasn't. The bacon was just thrown at the burgers because when we opened the wrappers to eat, we had to take the few pieces of bacon and place it on the burger center. The fries and other food weren't exactly as hot as it should have been either for the wait we had. You need to have some of your crew members take their jobs more seriously. I'm giving zero stars to the service, atmosphere, and front staff register order person. The only thing I felt still deserved a star was the hamburger and the poor girl trying to keep that...

If you want cheap keep going, if you want good stop by Whataburger. I ordered a cheeseburger with no vegetables and a peaches and cream shake, and a jalapeno cheeseburger combo with a peaches and cream shake. My order was correct, hot and tasty. Very polite and efficient young lady working the drive thru. She had our shakes made quickly and they were very good. Way bigger 1/4 pound burger compared to most competitors and I didn't see or taste soybeans like a certain west coast origin popular fast food restaurant. We went inside but exited to use the drive thru due to an entire youth baseball team inside standing in queue to order. There were no napkins nor ketchup for the fries in the bag, however, I didn't ask for any which may have been my mistake. I'm accustomed to napkins and appropriate condiments being included with the food when using the drive thru being that I'm close to 50 y.o. I'm still not used to only getting what you ask for, if you don't ask for ketchup then you won't get any seems to be the modern way to decrease waste and save money for the company. I feel like if you have ordered a meal with fries then they should at least ask if you would like ketchup or anything else and napkins should be included without having to ask. But as I stated, they were swamped by a very large group that I'm sure didn't call ahead to give them a heads up nor arrange accommodation for such a large group in advance which I feel was irresponsible of the adults to put such a burden on the workers and I'm sure under normal circumstances napkins and ketchup would have been included or at least asked if needed. I'm not complaining as we had paper towels in the car and I could have checked the bag and asked for ketchup but since they were scrambling to accommodate the large group I didn't want to be nitpicky and hold them up. Overall it was excellent. The food was very good and hot and the the service was speedy and very professional and the workspace was clean and organized. I definitely would recommend Whataburger and will return again. To do such a good job while overwhelmed by a large baseball team and accompanying adults deserves commendation. Drive thru traffic never backed up and by the time we got our order and pulled away from the window I noticed that over half of the group inside were served and seated. This was the Whataburger on Montgomery highway in Alabaster, Alabama. Well done, keep up...

We love Whataburger and were driving through town from our family vacation. It's entirely possible they were just having a bad day. But this trip was probably the worst for us. We have always had fast and friendly service at other Whataburger's. This wasn't the case today. We ordered very simple foods and asked for one meat to be switched with another and this became a long and arduous task that seemed to confuse everyone there. When we got our food, it wasn't super fresh and they still got it wrong. We only needed one meal with two extra sandwiches. The girl asked us twice if we needed to make it a meal and both times we said we only needed one meal. Somehow we got charged for two meals. Nothing seemed to be fresh, the cheese was barely melted so it didn't seem like it was made fresh. One of the three sandwiches was the honey BBQ chicken sandwiches and the strips were so overcooked we had to have it redone, and it still wasn't what you would expect from Whataburger. There was no sense of urgency during any of this and while waiting for them to remake the sandwich we saw several people waiting around and one guy walked out without having been helped. Throughout all this time the manager didn't even come out once. The sad part is my kid was really looking forward to Whataburger after being up north all week and this was the first one we came across and it was just a...

I would argue that this Whataburger in Alabaster, Alabama is absolutely NOT the best but not the worst, it's redeemable in some areas but you best believe you are lucky when it comes to waiting times, food quality and whether you get the RIGHT food or not. Speaking of which.. Food: This category is important but whataburger is whatever when it comes to taste and flavor, got a bacon steakhouse double and it was about $9.99. Looked like a burger king item but taste wise is alright, next up were wings which have been around for a while but these were $11.99 for a 9 piece, I would say they are worst then other major food chains such as Zaxby's been better, flavorful and cheaper and how dry the Whatawings were, total came out to $24.18 for a meal, a drink, and some fries or to put it this way, wings, a burger, fries and a drink. Also, the ranch and ketchup were the only good things keeping up for the food. Service: Slow, multiple people in line, drive-thru, sitting in the lobby waiting for like 15-20 minutes after placing an order, they must be doing drive-thru orders as a priority but that's alright. Miscellaneous: Be aware, their A/C doesn't work so it is pretty hot inside, they have outdoor seating, they are 24 hours so yeah, hope yall get lucky with yall orders 😭

Over the four + years I have lived in Alabaster I can say this Whataburger is consistently horrible. Always slow, especially in the drive thru, and almost every visit brings some kind of problem with our order. This time I tried the app and placed a curbside order. When we arrived I entered our parking spot number. There were almost no cars in the lot and none in the drive thru so I assumed it would be quick. We waited nearly ten minutes before going in to find that no one had bothered to notice we had arrived. It had been so long they had to remake the fries. The strawberry shake looked washed out and had very little taste. They acted like it was normal, though, and didn't try to remedy the issue except to make a new one just like the first shake. The "toasted" brioche bun was closer to burnt and made the whole burger taste like a block of charcoal. The fry oil was clearly old because the fries were covered in blackened bits from previous fry batches. Take your money elsewhere unless you like poor service and bad food.

We pulled up at 10:26 pm, excited for some whataburger as we dont have one in our home town. Upon pulling into the drive thru, it was a bit of a tight squeeze because of the truck offloading at the time, but we made it around. The lady 2 cars ahead of us told us that it was a 20 minute wait. No big deal, we love whataburger, so we can wait. At 11:06 pm the lady pulled off, the car in front did the same. So we pull up to the speaker excited to place our order. The lady in the drive thru speaker told us it was a 20 minute wait. She had a bit of an attitude. I mentioned that someone said 20 minutes, 20 minutes ago, and she said the truck just showed up (obvious lie) and theres noone to make food while the truck is there. Idk if this staff just diddnt want to work, or if whataburger isnt truley 24 hours or what, but this was super bad experience. To add, after getting out of line to look for somewhere else to eat, at 11:12 they were serving again, and there were 6 cars in line at this point
