I am very disappointed with Belk. I have been a loyal Belk shopper for years, spending over $1,200.00 with them last year. Unfortunately I didnāt get the managers name at the Alabaster store. However, he refused to return 2 pairs a sandals that are within Belkās standard return policy window. I attempted to return the sandals and was told that the return window is 30 days. After researching on the Belk website the stated return policy is 90 days. I reached out to Belk via email to ensure I could return the sandals that did not fit me. They said the sandals could be returned in store or shipped back. Shipping is difficult for me so I went back to the store and attempted to return them again. He was quite rude and stated that even though I had it in writing that I could return the sandals he could not do anything for me because store policy is 30 days even though the website says 90 days. He stood and at the register and argued with me without being able to explain why he couldnāt return them when I was told I could by Belkās customer service team. I saw one employee who was at another counter and she said from that counter that she would be with me but promptly disappeared. I walked around all the cosmetic counters for a few minutes looking for someone to help me and so no one. I almost picked up a phone at the counter to see if I could call for help. After a few minutes I walked to the customer service counter in another part of the store. One employee was busy looking at her phone and I told a young man that I needed help in the cosmetic counter. He walked with me toward the cosmetic counter and said he saw an employee helping another customer - I didn't see her. Instead of walking to the employee and checking to see if she could help me he just said she was helping another customer.
