Absolutely delicious! After trying so hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in Alamogordo, we finally found one! The food was flavorful and delicious. My sister loved the albóndigas, it came with plenty of meatballs and veggies. The menudo had great flavor, clean and a good ratio of meat and hominy. The caldo de res was packed with veggies and meat and the meat was extremely tender. The tacos al pastor (street tacos) were absolutely delicious, they are probably my favorite item. I will be ordering them again and again. This place also serves homemade, refreshing Aguas Frescas: horchata, jamaica, melón, watermelon, and mango. They also serve beer, a handful of bottled selection. The prices are decent, the portions good, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for Mexican food, honestly, try this place out!

We were just passing through and decided to stop here last minute. And WOW we were so impressed. If I ever come back I’m definitely getting the street tacos that my boyfriend got. Don’t get my wrong, the taco salad was delicious and well prepared, but the tacos, especially the Al pastor in my opinion, were phenomenal! And mmmm the churros were also perfect. But this visit was really made by the incredible staff. We came in 30 minutes before they closed, half expecting to get turned away, but ready to eat fast. Every single person from the host, to our incredibly sweet server, to every passing server, cook or busser, was beyond kind and friendly. They treated us like we were family. Absolutely love this place.

I had the flauta combo ( 4 flautas with beans and rice). Meat was super dry and overcooked. Added enough guac and sour cream to make it palatable. My son had the 5 street tacos with Carne asada. These were really good!! Meat had good flavor and had just the right amount of onion and cilantro. Lastly, we had the tamale/ relleno combo. Tamale was moist, and red sauce was good but nothing special. Relleno was good too. Overall, was an OK experience. Total bill was close to $60 ( had to pay for chips and salsa...) with only water for drinks, so a bit spendy for the flavor.

Overall Impressions: questionable quality of food, filthy bathrooms, bad service.

I do not understand how this establishment has a high rating. If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was honestly one of the most disgusting meals I have ever had. I will first start by mentioning that the service is very poor. We waited at least ten minutes before our server greeted us at our table. She rarely checked up on us and we had to wait a long time to get our check only to then be told that we should pay at the cashier even though other people around us recurved their checks.

Second, the food that we ordered was of very questionable quality. My sister and I both got a variety of tacos. I will start with the chicken, which, for the naked eye, looked like canned tuna due to the way it shredded and not seasoned. Just bringing the taco near your face was simply enough to know that it was boiled chicken with no seasoning, and then I went ahead and took a bite only to be reassured that it was as disgusting as it smelled.

Next the al pastor tacos. They were slimy and had cartilaginous pieces of who knows what.

The carnitas smelled and tasted like it was cooked days ago and was sitting in a bland broth for days, and it was cold.

The carne asada was the only acceptable taco and even then it was, at best, average.

I went to the restroom to wash my hands after, and I was greeted by some sort of overgrown fungus or mold near the faucet. I would have taken a picture but I could not stand to be in that bathroom any...

I guess it was a terrible experience I rarely post anything but this had to be talked about please if you've never had authentic Mexican food do not consider this authentic Mexican food for the reason the Menudo the tripe wasn't cleaned well it wasn't spicy as in taste it was warmed up like if it was put in a microwave it's smell gaming as for the omelet though the Rizzo omelet was good I liked it I enjoyed it the beans I got later after I had gotten my plate tasted from a can they were refried like Rosarita refried out of a can my wife was upset with hers cuz she got half of her plate on one and the other half came later the hostess was real good she was a good server it's just that she was trying to help everybody else then my wife received a chile relleno by the owner which came much later 10 minutes later didn't have egg batter this chile relleno looked weak was not enticing at all there was more chili stem then there was the actual Chile my wife had gone the other day and liked it but for this some parent reason it wasn't up to par at all it definitely wasn't worth $33 actually I left the whole bowl of menudo there please do yourself a favor and take off authentic on your...

1 star is too much!!! My husband & I stopped for a late lunch (NOT BUSY), he ordered 2 street tacos, I ordered 3 with a side of guacamole. We asked for more salsa because the SMALL dish it was in wasn't even enough for 1. The next thing he came back with was a mop for a previous mishap, no salsa, made excuses instead of oops sorry I forgot & continued mopping the floor. He disappeared for awhile before finally showing up with the precious salsa. Our tacos arrived, all on one plate he sat in the middle of the table & said "they all came on one plate". I said this is ridiculous, I am not going to hold my taco over the plastic tablecloth, I want a plate, he brought me a coffee cup saucer. I asked where my guac was & why there wasn't any lettuce, tomato & cheese for the tacos & was told they didn't come with that (the menu said it did). Needless to say, by the time my guac & I, t & c arrived, there was no tacos left to have it on. Maybe this was just a really, really off day but we would have been way better off eating next door!!! Total waste of our...
