Warm, Whimsical, and Worth the Stop I was up early, still on East Coast time, and wandered into Glacial Coffeehouse just as they were opening. What a find! Tucked away in downtown Skagway, this cozy spot had exactly what I needed—great coffee, a solid breakfast, and a welcoming vibe. Their menu had an impressive variety of coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and even some locally sourced items. I ordered an everything bagel sandwich with herb tomato cream cheese, egg, bacon, and onions—it was absolutely perfect. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I also grabbed a chocolate croissant, which was just the right balance of flaky and rich. The seating area was charming, with a whimsical, almost vintage feel—lots of quirky signs, warm wood tones, and that perfect mix of ’60s and ’70s music playing in the background. It all made for a relaxing and memorable start to the day. Whether you’re up early exploring or just stepping off a cruise ship, this place is absolutely worth a stop. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel like more than just grabbing breakfast—it felt like a pause to enjoy the moment.

I was just passing through, but this place caught my eye for mich needed coffee. There's not many ways to make a coffee, but somehow, I always make it complicated. However, the lady who rang me up did an AMAZING job. I wanted actual coffee, not this foofoo milk stuff kids drink now a days, with just a splash of cream to protect the stomach. And I wanted a cold drink, but not watered down with ice, and I wanted to actually have a drink, not a cup of ice. And then we decided to add Carmel bc what the hell. Great call, and the ratios were perfect, especially bc I added my own cream, which seems to have gone away after covid. Overall pricey, but for a small town with great service, I didn't mind paying the $9 for the small drink (plus add in). They were very busy and line out the door, but orders were taken swiftly (even with all the discussion). The wait to get the drink took a bit, and there isn't much room inside. I think I got there as a cruise let out, so maybe it was more busy than usual for a Sunday. Would definitely recommend if you need coffee in town, based on service alone.

So, this place was great!!!! Not only was the staff extremely friendly, but they handled situations very well. My husband and I had went to another coffee shop down the road , got a coffee but realized they didn't have much for food for us. We decided to go to glacial coffeehouse. Well there was a sign on the door stating no outside food or drinks. We went in anyway because we were going to be paying customers. The lady that took our order saw our drinks and said "Oh, I see you already have coffee. That's a shame. You're really missing out. Our coffee is the best!!!!" I thought that was very professional of her and friendly while still pointing out we were doing what they asked us not too. That in and of itself got me to buy another coffee and a hoodie. I totally respect her for the way she handled that situation. Respect my friend!!! And a high review rating from me!!!! Oh, and the coffee and food was amazing too. That was just the cherry on top!!!! Definitely...
