I recently dined at Bonanza Bar and Grill hoping to enjoy a pleasant evening with good food and excellent service. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the incredibly rude behavior of our waiter LEHI , who consistently displayed impatience and a lack of professionalism throughout our meal.
From the moment we sat down, it became apparent that the waiter LEHI had little interest in providing us with a relaxed dining experience. We were given barely a moment to settle in before he approached our table, insisting that we immediately place our orders. His tone was curt and impatient, leaving us feeling rushed and uncomfortable.
As we attempted to peruse the menu, the waiter LEHI continuously interrupted us, urging us to decide quickly. It seemed as though he had little regard for the fact that choosing a meal is an important aspect of dining out. Each time he approached, he made unnecessary comments about our phone usage, criticizing us for taking the time to browse through the menu options.
This constant pressure and impolite behavior significantly detracted from our ability to enjoy the evening. Instead of feeling welcomed and valued as customers, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. It is important for restaurant staff to strike a balance between attentiveness and allowing diners the space and time they need to make decisions.
Regrettably, the lackluster service overshadowed the potential of the food, as our dining experience was overshadowed by the unpleasant interactions with the waiter. It is disheartening to see such a disregard for customer service in an establishment that otherwise had the potential to offer a satisfying culinary experience.
While it is possible that this was an isolated incident and not reflective of the overall service at Bonanza Bar and Grill the rude behavior of the waiter LEHI left a lasting negative impression. I hope that management takes note of this review and addresses the issue, as exceptional service is a fundamental aspect of any successful restaurant.
Ultimately, I cannot recommend BONANZA BAR AND GRILL based on my recent visit. Should you choose to dine there, I sincerely hope that your experience is far more enjoyable than mine, and that you encounter staff who value your presence and offer the level of service one would expect...
Read moreMy husband and I recently visited Bonanza Bar and Grill in Skagway, Alaska. While we had a mixed experience, we feel it's important to share our honest feedback.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by Lehi, who helped us find a place to sit. We appreciated his assistance in that regard. However, our initial impression quickly soured. After only a minute of looking at the menu, the waiter approached us, asking if we were ready to order. We politely mentioned that we needed more time to decide and requested the wifi password to explore other restaurant options.
To our disappointment, the waiter returned shortly after, once again pressuring us to place an order. We reiterated that we needed more time and were taken aback by the waiter's remark, asking us to stop using our phones and instead focus on the menu. The tone and comment felt rude and uncalled for, leaving us with a negative impression of the service.
It's disheartening to speculate that this behavior may have been influenced by our background as a Muslim couple, as we were the only ones of our kind present in the bar/restaurant at the time. We believe that every customer, regardless of their ethnicity or religion, deserves respectful and courteous treatment.
On the positive side, we did try the Tuesday Specials, which included a tasty chicken taco priced at $2.50. We also ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with French fries, which was satisfactory in taste and presentation.
While the food was decent, the unprofessional behavior and potentially discriminatory treatment from the waiter overshadowed our dining experience. It is crucial for any establishment to ensure that their staff provides excellent service to all customers, without any form of bias or prejudice.
We hope that Bonanza Bar and Grill takes our feedback constructively and addresses the issues we encountered, ensuring a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons.
Sincerely, A disappointed...
Read moreSome friends and I stopped here for lunch last week when we were in Skagway for the day. It was super busy when we walked in and we anticipated that there would be a long wait, but we were actually seated almost immediately. Even though it was busy we still received prompt service and our food came out decently fast all things considered. I had the Queso Carnitas Fries and a side of the Bacon Bleu Cheese Potato Salad for my meal, while my friends had a Halibut Sandwich and a Burger. My meal was scrumptious! From the fries, to the pulled pork, it was all good. I even liked the BBQ sauce, which I am normally not a big fan of. The potato salad was also good, it lacked in bleu cheese flavor to me, but it had plenty of bacon in it and was still a solid potato salad. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. One thing to note if you are with a group, they are only able to split a check two ways, so be prepared for that if you're not planning to pay together. The atmosphere is your typical bar restaurant vibe, but the women's bathroom is a little more special. Take a peak inside for an elegant change of scenery. If you're in Skagway on a cruise, or for any other reason, you should definitely pop into Bonanza for a meal or something...
