Review for Wings and Things ⭐☆☆☆☆ I used to love Wings and Things when it was downtown Anchorage, it was always busy compare to the empty new location. Unfortunately, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated at this place. It’s sad to see how far this once-great establishment has fallen. First and foremost, the food simply doesn’t measure up to the fantastic flavors I remember. I ordered 20 wings, requesting them to be extra crispy, but what I received were saggy wings that completely missed the mark. The true kicker was when I brought up my previous experience, where the wings were dry due to a lack of sauce. I just wanted to make sure that this time they had the normal amount of sauce, but the cashier’s reaction was incredibly unprofessional. She got upset at my request and insisted that I would need to pay extra for additional sauce. I clarified that I was not asking for extra sauce; I just wanted adequate sauce this time around. At $34 for 20 wings, I expected better service—not to feel like I was a nuisance for simply expressing a concern. To make matters worse, the lack of clear menu pricing added to the frustration. When I asked about menu items, the cashier rudely gestured to a blackboard instead of providing any assistance or information. This felt reminiscent of elementary school cafeteria days, but I certainly wasn’t expecting that treatment as a paying customer. Overall, my experience at this location was disheartening. The wings lacked the vibrant flavors I once loved, the service was unhelpful and dismissive, and it seemed like there was a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. They had some tables with items for sell that had nothing to do with a wings place and just added to the dungeon look of the place. The bar looked more like an office full of paperwork, bills and more.
I sincerely hope that one day someone will open a wings place that understands both recipe quality and good customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Wings and Things...
Read more1:20pm placed order. Told to arrive at 2:30 for carryout.. Friends arrive there at 2:30, but they can't find the order. 10 minutes later, order apparently found but would take another 10 minutes, no worries at this point, totally understandable on a busy day.
Friends were told that every 20 minutes until after 3:30pm. Would have gladly just left and come back if they said they hadn't started...but waited until 3:30 to tell us that.
Still not worth leaving a negative review, until I called to cancel the order and employee puts the phone down, (look, just put it on hold next time, hell, even hang up lol) and proceeded to belittle myself and my still-waiting-inside-friends before coming back on, saying the order would be refunded and just hanging up.
Irritated (but stillll not enough to review online) I call back to verify it was cancelled, ask them to have a manager call me to verify when it was in fact cancelled because apparently nobody there could do it at the time, and of course to have them apologize about the awesome treatment over the first phone call.
Waited rest of day to leave this. Luckily for me, other places in the world make chicken so was able to purchase elsewhere. Those purchases already show up online and this one hasn't, leads me to believe it was at least canceled, wouldn't know for sure because I wasn't called. So I'll make it a 2-star just for the ability to at least not charge to waste 3+ hours of peoples time and because the wings are normally...
Read moreI love wing n things wings but their service is garbage. I just called to see if I could pick up my order instead of have it delivered. After 9 minutes of waiting on hold, i asked the lady about it and she canceled my order. I asked her why it was cancelled and she said my wife called and canceled the order. I asked how that was possible since I was waiting on hold during that time and this lady told me sorry, you’ll need to replace the order. Have a nice day. What the hell…
EditedI wish it would let me post as a response to the ridiculous Owners response. First off, my wife was sitting next to me the entire time and she never called you nor cancelled this order. Which means you or your staff either flat out lied to me or you guys negligently deleted our ordered. This probably means absolutely nothing to you based on your response to my complaint. You clearly prefer to blame your customers for your mistakes instead of taking responsibility.

I don’t even know how you could put any merit in support of your staff in this, I checked yelp and this is almost exactly the same situation that has occurred multiple times.
