This was the closest park for us to stop at for the kids to get some wiggles out while we were in town for the day. I was pleased with the design of the play structures and it was nice that there are three parking areas on all sides of the park, so you can access from just about any direction. Hit or miss on the outhouses... one was tolerable, but my kids wouldn't use it (they're pretty picky though). The pond is pretty, but the trails near the water were *covered* in bird droppings. Impossible to get through without stepping in a ton of it. Overall the area felt safe, but there were a couple less-than-reputable-looking individuals around at various times. Not my favorite Anchorage park, but the play structures really were fun and my kids (ages 1-8 years) had a great time.

This is a nice park in Midtown, the last place you'd expect a park to be. I like the nice walking path, there's a pond and playground, and very accessible. During the winter, the track becomes an ice skating track. The only big downside are the geese during the summer time. They poop everywhere and they hiss at you, but I haven't had any major issues. It's a great location for a big events because of the big grass area and also an amphitheater type stage.

So many ducks, geese, pigeons, and seagulls. It is very pretty for those who like a small walk. Please teach your kids not to storm up to the geese. Watched some kid learn that lesson when trying to yell and touch a baby duck. Be ready for bird poo as well. You will see some homeless tents around but that can't really be helped. Pretty standard playground wise. All in all not bad.

Centrally located in midtown, this is a great park right next to the Public Library. It's a nice spot to bring your kids to play on the playground, take a stroll around the spacious grounds, hold an event in the stadium, play sports in the field, admire the birds in the pond, or go big and hold a hug event in the entire park! The possibilities are endless.

Can walk in circles on their paths. The ducks and geese are fun to watch but they also bring a big mess. The grass and trails are almost impassable because of the droppings. Easy access to several things to do in town. If you are just out walking around, then stop here in the fall to see the birds, but watch your step.

Not a bad park for a quick stroll. Has almost everything you might want in a small city park in the middle of town. Has a walking trail, circuit track, large fields, pond, playground and wildlife(geese this time of year. Biggest drawback is the homeless camp attached to one side… But hey, the geese are great!
