My experience today @ Moe's Southwest Grill was lackluster and mediocre. There was once a time where I consistently visited Moe's @ least twice a week including every Monday for $5 burrito Mondays, but I seldom patronize because of the below average food quality, customer service and consistency to meet and exceed consumer standards. Just last Monday my visit was awesome and the service was good, but I returned today to redeem my rewards earned and the mediocrity had returned. I didn't hear a welcome to Moe's and one girl on the line smiled who's always friendly and she's been employed with them for a while. The other people on the line were robotic and had no emotion. One of my biggest pet peeves is presentation and quality of my food. The look and freshness of my food is vital to me being a repeat patron. I've been a repeat patron, since Moe's was originally located on Dawson Rd next door to KFC and Maggie Moos. I maintained my loyalty and followed them to their current Westover Blvd location, but after today I'm going to take another break from this establishment. I don't appreciate my food being handled any type of way and the stinginess of food portions. If I ordered a chicken bowl with extra chicken and I ask for mushrooms and the guy puts half a ladle of mushrooms (it's like literally 4 mushrooms on the bowl, so I asked for extra and I get like 2 more... this is ridiculous). To be perfectly honest, I could have went to Chipotle and received far better service, food quality and portions. I actually liked Moe's better before they started advertising the $5 Mondays because the food and service in my opinion were far better. I'm glad they're maintaining consumer presence, but don't disregard consumers who supported you before there was a $5 burrito Monday and before advertisement. All I require and expect is consistency whenever I patronize your establishment and for the people on the line to use common sense and logic when preparing food. In regards to longevity, I honestly believe the staff needs to be retrained for the better improvement of business. For some this might not be a big deal, but it's truly a determining factor on how and where I spend my money. Read moreFor Mother’s Day my three children decided to order Moe‘s as a treat for me. I have 16 people at my house waiting for delivery which didn’t show up. When we called they said they were short on help and there would be nothing delivered because no food was ready. When ask what we were supposed to do about 16 people waiting here to eat, the girl replied that wasn’t her problem. We received no call, no text messages, nothing at all stating that the food would not be delivered. When we were finally able to get the manager, he said it wasn’t his fault and blamed it on the assistant manager and then laughed at my daughter because she was so upset. This is disgrace. They paid over $300 for this catered meal and Moe’s did not even have the courtesy of calling us. The last text from Moe’s to my daughter stated that they guaranteed that the food would be hot and good, and they would be on time. What a disgrace that a restaurant has people in charge who take this attitude and leave families stranded, especially on a holiday such as Mother’s Day when every restaurant in town is full and there is no place to go with 16 people. I understand that people can make mistakes and that sometimes people don’t show up for work, but the problem we had is that no one even had the courtesy to give us a call to explain anything. We had to call and find out where the food was and then we got no help or sympathy from anyone. Read moreI went in at 11:15 this morning, the door said they open at 10:30. Upon entering, the girls are cleaning an inch of dust off the top glass, above the food. They had pushed one of the food stations to the side, but had left the other one exposed to the overspray of the chemicals. Another girl, taller than the other 2, came from the back saying "You know what you want". I told her I did and proceeded to order thinking to myself, surely they are only going to clean the one glass with the food station pushed away. I was wrong. I was the only customer in there, it was very dark and dirty. As I paid for what I had ordered, the taller girl had an extremely bad attitude as others came in the door talking about how someone should have locked the door while they were cleaning but that "no one gives a rats ass about that".....her exact words. The meat was cold and way over seasoned, the rest of the food looked like it had been stored in a cooler. It was definitely not fresh food by any stretch of the imagination. I absolutely will not be going back to this location.
